'Hang on, I've changed my mind.

Ruined by being in French. Whats the point in doing it in a language most people don't understand? :)'

Oh you. A few years ago at Oxegen a number of friends decided to see the Killers play instead of Daft Punk. Never forgiven them for that

Maybe, but I doubt it. That "crossfire" was one of the worst songs I heard last year. A boyband song.

At this very moment: 'Shelter from the Storm' by Bob Dylan from 'Blood on the Tracks.' His best.

I like to consider myself a very cultured music fan so at the end of the day my advice is pretty sound. Therefore on the back of that here are my 10 must hear classics:

1. Under the Bridge - All Saints

2. Wish You Were Here - Aslan

3. I love Rock N' Roll - Britney Spears

4. The Man Who Sold The World - Nirvana

5. Angie - Aslan (what a band)

6. We Will Rock You - 5ive

7. American Pie - Madonna

8. Behind Blue Eyes - Limp Bizkit

9. Hurt - Jonhhy Cash

10. Valerie - Amy Winehouse

Excellent choices Royal_Girl, now if you just add in that you also love Pink Floyd and B*Witched then I can definitely hear wedding bells :-)

I just put my top 500 songs on an MP3 player and I hit shuffle and take them as they come.In Lanzarote for a few wks in Jan was outside apt. chatting to a few English tourists with my MP3 on inside and banging out a selection ranging from Pavarotti to Shane McGowan when suddenly to my wifes horror it changed to Charlie & the Bhoys singing "Go home British Soldiers".Absolutely true story. My favourite playlistswould be a lovingly compiled selection of songs by Tommy Makem who I adored followed by Christy Moore and Allison Krauss. Last 3 songs listened to Because by Mario Lanza, Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf and "A Pair of Brown Eyes" by Shane McGowan currently playing.

Nice one CorkCelt, hopefully they realised not all Irish people are as sectarian or ignorant as you. I find it hard to believe that someone who has Charlie and the Bhoys on their i-pod is married, pull the other one

Well Plonker I am indeed very happily married, will be celebrating my 40th Wedding Anniversary this year, I have 3 kids and 6 smashing grandkids and life is good thanks be to God. I will listen to whatever music I like with or without your approval. I will support Sinn Fein, Glasgow Celtic and follow hurling the best game in the world. I well know that you are diametrically opposed to everything I believe in and that is absolutely fine by me. In any case if you want a slanging match lets do it on another thread and let the kids who want to talk about music have this thread to themselves.

I don't want a slagging match at all, I haven't insulted you once. You on the other hand are a man in his late fifties at least who still listens to 'Go on home British Soldiers' and repeatedly calls a poster on an internet forum 'plonker'. Truth be told I don't want a slagging match, it would be like shooting fish in a barrel. I feel pity more than anything

For someone who doesn't want a slagging match that was a rather bitchy comment to be making.
