played a wee bit at school so don't mind it at all. When I was at school it was very much a middle class game and they weren't too happy about us working class northsiders having a go at it but thankfully that side of the sport seems to be slipping away. Our PE teacher , one Brian Mullins (former Dublin footballer) also played rugby for Clontarf at the time and got us a few games against some of the 2nd / 3rd teams of the more established southside schools. We did ok but I always felt our faces just didn't fit in the rugger world at the time.

____________ Why dublin ? IF you are going to be a virtual tourist can your imagination not stretch a bit further - Peru or Mardi Gras or a beach in RIO - or maybe something like in Total Recall

If rugby players like rugby, why do they feel the need to drag american football terms into their game with such annoying regularity. It started with "big hits", "turnovers" and "DEE-fense", and at the week-end we had O'Driscoll talking about a "deep redzone", when discussing the area of the pitch close to Italy's tryline.

Have to say i like the rugby especially world cup and the 6 nations. Not so keen on the club/ province rugby. Love watching Wales play, not sure why though? Possibly the way they sing their national anthem so well, everybody sings it.

Oddly enough, you never seem to have a problem with people of a similar political persuasion to yourself flinging insults at southerners and some northerners who hold different views. Granted name calling has no affect on myself, i find it quaintly amusing but its odd how you seem to ignore it while finding this lads ranting a major issue. As for not listening to trash, i cant think of how you are going to deal with it except maybe not reading it. There maybe even some people on here that find your posts disagreeable but what can they do, It's freedom of speech which is fine but maybe everybody needs to see the responsibilities that go with it.

dhorse. thats right freedom of speech everyone is entitled , i personally always try and see two sides to everthing , but when you have blatant and derogatry remarks fling all over the place , well i mean you feel the urge , IN A FREEDOM OF SPEECH WAY that is to respond , and yes people are entitled also to disagree , but as i say there is a certain level of abuse that i feel within my right to highlight in defence of my own people in the north , that i do not find accetable or warranted . thats all to it really dhorse , if you feel that i am being unfair , then i am not going to make any apologies for that , i do agree though that maybe sometimes i might throw the odd insult and for that i am sorry , it is not my intention though .
