I remember reading Micky Harte's diary from 2003 and being struck by his fondness for his daughter and her closeness to the Tyrone panel. This is another in a long list of terrible tragedies that group have had to endure. I'm sure all GAA people's thoughts will be with Michaela's family this evening.

There can be no worse burden to bear than having to Bury your own Child. The circumstances of this tragedy are unthinkable. May Mickey and his family find the strength and grace to cope and may her new husband be given the strength to pick up the pieces of his life. May she rest in peace.

absolutely shocked and deeply saddened by this awful news. This girl was not only a credit to her family and County but to the entire Country. My heartfelt condolences to her nearest and dearest. I just don't know how anyone can cope with this type of tragedy.
