This wouldn't the same fellow I has the misfortune to meet at the tipp cork game this year well if it is i wouldn't count him as a hurling fan the way he acted.... the 2 mates he had with him yes they were decent fans.... probably the same fellow he claims to be one of sean og's bezzie mates!!

Could well be him. I haven't actually seen him since 1773 but I did see the GAA video about him. He does claim to be Sean Og's best mate.

As for Tipp fans, a great crowd, especially Thurlesblue.......................

arrogant crowd of so and so's the lot of ye!!!!!!!

. You are more arrogant than any other fan I have ever met, maybe we should start a thread about your arrogance

Patrique:

You may have a lot in common then with the arrogant tipp people ...... never admit when your wrong, an authority on everything and blows his own trumpet most of the time.... that sounds like arrogance to me, enough out of ya!

Just after reading pages 4 and 5 of this thread and i'm in knots laughing. The banter is at fever pitch. Poor ol' Pat has had a rough time of it.

Us Tipperary folk are not arrogant. We are just prvileged and honoured to live in a county superior to every other county in the country.

To be honest i don;t have a lot of interaction with Tipp people.
But from what I have i do find they have been quite arrogant. Sorry Tipp people.

They seemed to have thought this year was a divine right to win the All ireland after pushing Kilkenny close the year before.
I just think that they made a lot of noise during the campaign compared to say Kilkenny who should always feel confident.
I talking about supoorters here and not players!

despite my ignorance I can comment on a game i love and despite my surprising lack of attendance at my own county's matches I have attended many Leinster and Munster Matches and some Ulster matches with antrim. There were about 100 people at the county final and much much less at the last county match which comprises players from the two teams who contested the final(the only two teams). Cavan is effectively a non hurling county. My county are trying to look at ways to grow hurling in the county, one of the suggestions was to disband the pointless Snr team and focus on umderage, a suggestion, not even a motion. This inspired you to deem the entire county as IGNORANT(that's right in caps) and attacked clubs involved in starting up a new club. You obviously were transferred to my county against your will and don't like it here and have a massive hang up about that. That explains your spiteful bile filled comments, but i pity you and hope your transfer come through and the new work town meet come up to your expectations.

And now Cork make a bid for the title of "Most Arrogant" county.

Cavan are ignorant about hurling? Would this be in the way Ireland are "ignorant" about say soccer. basketball, skiing, athletics, rugby, ice hockey, hockey, cricket and countless other sports?

Or do you mean Cavan are not very successful at hurling and if you are not successful you are second class citizens and should be barred from playing? Next thing you be moaning the lack of hurling promotion.

Now I know Cork people resent the Antrim supporters because when Cork fans come waltzing along shouting "Up the Rebels" Antrim fans respond "What would you know about rebels unless you are aged 108?" but what have you against Cavan?

Is it simply arrogance or perhaps in this case, is it ignorance?
