Thurlesblues you are a character ill give you that. So you offered your hand in congratulations when Tipp were beaten and you were spat at... twice.... you should be up on stage doing stand up.

hi deiseboy tis seldom we have to congratulate the clare and waterford boys its usually the other way around but the odd time it happens we wish them well!!

too many wides hags Thurles didnt perform on the day faster ball would have suited them better
it was their own fault they can blame themselves

Killmallock could use they same excuses to why they didn't beat sarsfields...... also the best club team in ireland only managed to score 7 points!!!!! They couldn't manage to beat a team that only scored 8 points?????

thurlesblues:

The best teams manage to pull put results in all conditions so if the conditions to blame then yer not the best team!! That game was dry with a cross field wind it wasn't a monsoon and gale force winds, granted the sod was frozen.... but was that to blame for 17 wides!!!

Tipperary arrogance:

Thurlesblues talking about the drive for five after their great victory in September. But lets think about the last time they did the two in a row, let alone 3 , 4 or 5.

Hmm. Can' thank of any in the '00s. Nope not in the '90s. Definitely not in the 80s. Nope not in the 70s either. But cheer away Thurlesblues and prove us wrong!

This tipp team are a great side, but let them try and win a 2nd before talking about 5.

This tipp team are a great side,

Now I see just how the word "great" is abused. the current Tipp team have won one all Ireland, via the back door and just as narrowly as their predecessors in 2001.

And we know what happened to them in the next two years.

Tipp 1964/65, 1995-1900, and 1949-51 may have claims to greatness. But the current team?

Give them a chance before we put too much of a burden on them.

Thats their game woody15. The likes of patrique, ulsterman and Joseph in sport stalk the site and latch on to rubbish like this topic and drag it on and on and on looking for a response. I'd be wary of other sites they frequent and would wonder are they possibly on a list somewhere for that type of person. They really aren't well in the head.

Sure Tipp are nearly as arrogant as Kildare men, and we know what they are like.

Ye have to tell them twice to get up to give ye a seat in the pub in Newbridge before they know their place and move.......

I'm not old enough to see the Tipp side of the 60's but in my lifetime there is only one team I've always looked up to in hurling & that is Kilkenny. This isn't just the 4 in a row, it is down to the feeling I've always had when we play them - you know it is going to be a battle and to beat them you feel a huge sense of pride. We haven't beaten them too often in my lifetime, whereas we have victories over the other 'big 2'.

So for me Kilkenny will always be the hurling purists and will always be remembered for taking hurling to a new level between 2002-2010.

Slayer the game is constantly evolving, the tipp team of the late 80's and early 90's brought the game forward. The Clare team of the mid to late 90's picked up the batton, then Cork and now Kilkenny. It's too early to say if we'll be the next ones to drive the game forward but that's the beauty of sport it's forever changing and evolving but core skills remain.

as Eoin Kelly is getting married on Friday and Tipp are playing Kilkenny Saturday evening in Thurles could all interested players gather at the cross of ballycahill to make up the numbers for the game! After the game is won we will drop ye all of by bus.

how many times have ye beaten Tipp slayer its just that ye never get to play Kilkenny often enough cos ye dont get out of munster that often. Tipp normally beat Kilkenny in the championship thats why were the purists and the home of hurling
