____________
I would have thought that it was a fact rather a view. Using them or buying them is a crime. Again a fact rather than a view

Your political affiliations would be nowhere without decades of drug dealing to working class communities... kept the lads in big cars and woolly fresh balaclavas.

All in the name of Ireland of course.

Talk about old chestnuts…. How many drug threads has there been now!! It's still the same old logic…

Hypocrites deserved to be exposed. I'm not saying you are Brend... In fact I've nothing but respect for you and I agree largely with your post!

BUT

Alcohol kills more people a year than all the overdoses combined folks... and in fact Salt and Sugar kills more people again then even Alcohol… Irelands number 1 drug.

If you want to tackle drug probelms... then start at the biggest drug of them all. No? That seems very logical to me….

See you in the pub lads... we'll get rightly off our heads!!!

The opening post asked if using drugs supported crime
I responded that it does and that using them is also a crime
That is factual answer based on my understanding of the law of this country

The poster did not ask:
Should drugs be legalised
Is Alchohol a drug
Is drink more hamful than "recreational drugs"
Should alchohol be banned
They are all different lines of discussion

Anyway Im off to drink a dozen pints and a few whiskeys - Might kill me - certianly won't do me any good however given that I can be reasonably certain
that the supply chain is legitimate I know the first one or two won't kill me. After that my destiny is in my own hands.

It's not lazy Yew Tree... It's informed. We have a huge drug problem in this country and it's been here far longer than Coke, Heroin etc etc...

If you really want to tackle the drugs problem in this country then start at the number one killer... Alcohol

....and then we'll move onto Salt and Sugar!

I think the power should be taken out of the delaers hands lads... I absolutley agree with you on that one!

Well there enough not done to get the big drug barons as everyone in the law are scared of them.

Either way there will always be drugs... (Alcohol, nicotine, Heroin, MDMA and so on...)

It's about how we approach it as a people... surely as it stands we're going anywhere fast!

Because demonising people is not the way to go... be careful throwing stones folks you might just hit someone very very close to you..

We've been over this drugs stuff before... so enjoy your drugs tonight lads! careful now... and enjoy!

i for one have never taken any form of illegal drugs because the fact is they are illegal, saying that is alcohol became illegal would you still drink it,i think not as with smoking, sugar and salt.the blatant acceptance of class A drug use makes me sick, people used to be shamed if the tax on there car was out of date, now its ok to fund the scumbags everyone talks about sunday morning after reading paul williams
