Regardless of peoples view on past actions, it is good to see that most people don't want a return to violence bad.monkey (USA) - Posts: 4649 - 03/12/2010 19:41:08 827400 Link 0 |
Some posters really need to start reading the posts. I also note that these same posters who fail to understand what they read never reply to the poster who shows their posts to be ill researched and show their lack of general knowledge of contemporary history. In fact it shows them to be what they are derryman (Derry) - Posts: 3246 - 03/12/2010 19:52:42 827408 Link 0 |

No I have no Illusions about how terrible the campaign of the IRA has been over all of its existence. I have never attempted to excuse it or condone it simply try to understand it. I take issue with those who glorify the campaign of 1918 -22 and demonise that of 69-96. If you do that you have blinkered views. But having said that ballboy I do wonder why some one of your enormous wealth would be concerned abot the petty squabbles of the plebs on an internet forum. derryman (Derry) - Posts: 3246 - 05/12/2010 11:42:12 827734 Link 0 |

You'll have to wait until someone reads the wikipedia article on it to him Derryman omaghredhand (Tyrone) - Posts: 3656 - 05/12/2010 13:59:38 827810 Link 0 |
derryman- i think absolutely nothing about it, couldnt care less about it as it is absolutely meaningless and pointless as it was so long ago- why people are fixated about it all is beyond me- even the name is pathetic 'war of independence' we could still be fighting now and it would have changed nothing- we got full independence because the british governement said we could have it and therefore everything else is trivial! in todays world it seem even more trivial- the british governement would habd back the north in a hearthbeat and the republic wouldnt touch it with a barge pole- its all very funny when you think about it liathroidboy (Mayo) - Posts: 4921 - 05/12/2010 14:12:08 827822 Link 0 |

dell your post amuse me a great deal- history is exactly what it is history i.e irrelevant- all you would get on here is a slanted completely biased views for you lot- its so funny to read it- as first i fely pity as i thought how could people be so biased and biggotted- but after a while i realised some people have no concept of reality so its better to just laugh at ye. always somone else fault.... yawn! if you insist on harping on about history i suggest you beyond bias of a cletic/ rangers jersey where right or wrong is simply determined by what side of the divide you are on- no wonder to of the biggest fully british soccer club make a fortune out of your stupidity - laughable liathroidboy (Mayo) - Posts: 4921 - 05/12/2010 14:51:37 827853 Link 0 |
