Doherty wins Donegal!

Hilarious listening to the Fianna Fail and Fine Gael apologists on here. The same two parties and political system that has not moved on from the Irish Civil War are telling the rest of us they wouldn't vote for 'terrorists' yet their parties founders were responsible for some of the worst murderous crimes carried out on Irish people....by Irish people. How dare these gombeen, brown paper baggers, back slapping, beer tent guzzling fools lecture others. Jackie Healey Rae and Micheal Lowry are now holding the entire Irish people to ransom and that sums up the rotten Irish political environment and why the rest of the world is laughing at the country.

Sinn fein are s**mbag terrorists Ulsterman whether you want to admit it or not. By the way I'm not deluded enough to support any single political party either so you can stick your 'FF and FG' nonsense. Finally once again, sorry I have to brief but I'm posting from a mobile as of 11 o'clock today.

Not sure to be honest derryman, I'll have to see who Meath east puts foward first but I can categorically say that it won't be for anybody who carries the SF or FF banners.

Just watched Pearse Doherty reflect that sentiment with his budget response speech in the Dail Ulsterman, he labelled Healey Rae and Lowry a disgrace for being willing to sell the people down the river for the sake of their own wish list. Pearse and Sinn Fein are exactly what the Dail needs, no more career politicians selling their grannies for the sake of a few quid.

Pearse performed well, if only there were more like him in Sinn Fein then they could be a credible party but besides him they have no one.

The same could be said of your party galling. The Blueshirts are not a viable alternative, they are just as bad as Fianna Fail and have performed very poorly in opposition. They have spent more time ripping each other apart and backstabbing in the media while the country floundered. Anyone who has been in government in the South these past 15 years is as culpable as Ahern, Cowen and Lenihan. I have just seen my hardworking sisters and their husbands, like countless others, lose 1000's of Euros in tax increases, PRSI increases, their kids penalised with Child Benefit cuts etc and it is shocking. Meanwhile the bankers will still receive their bonuses this Christmas, you couldn't make it up.

On that note Paddy you have still not answered my question on the other thread.

In almost 40 years of watching 4 different assemblies have I ever seen a minister squirm like the Tanaiste today. Do not forget that Pearse Doherty is speaking for Sinn Fein. Vote for the party Policies and ethos not the Man

You keep asking this question. I have answered it on another thread about the 4 year plan. But you refuse to answer mine Why?

Have to say I was big time impressed with his Budget speech. It was funny, cutting and probably 99% spot on. It reminded me of George Galloway in his prime exposing the cronyism and corruption at westminster. If he is joined by Gerry Adams in the Dail it will certainly make life interesting for us and extremely uncomfortable for whatever gombeen men or woman leads the government.

Now Ive finished listening Id say it was a great speech and spot on in all points.

Also, i think it is horrible that on one of the biggest political days in Irish History, that the majority of the Dail cant hang around to listen to the whole debate. Not only is it disrespectful to the elcted memebers who have yet to speak, It is disrespectful to the whole people of Ireland. I suppose they were all heading out to the Dail bar or to run to the Petrol Staions to fill up their ministerial cars before the prices went up.
