Glenties were unlucky but Cross just wore them down today. It was teak hard football with some crunching hits but there were also some very good scores today.

Given that both teams have had limited preparation for the game due to the bad weather, I thought the football was of the highest order and well worth the wait. Glenties are a young team and should be very proud of their efforts this year. Cross are simply a class act. They keep producing quality footballers and I think they will be hard to beat in the All-Ireland series- they just keep plugging away even when things are going against them
