I don't use mo chara much anymore, did as a child.
PP, I'm afraid you're going to have to take a picture in the village with todays newspaper. Sorry.
By the by, PP, have you suggested changing the name of your club from being as republican as it is?? I imagine someone like your goodself who is doesn't care much for republicanism would voice this opinion or maybe you might not get such a nice reception??

Hurlin Pomeroy were named under the patronage of St. Oliver Plunkett. Whilst it is dedicated to the memory of Joseph Plunkett for me personally my club is named after a great figure in my Church. While I am a senior player alas I doubt I could get the name changed. If I lead us to the promised land of Senior football this season I'll float the idea

"mo chara"? Thats a peculiarl little Belfast turn of phrase, quite strange coming from a supposed Tyrone man wouldn't you say?

A phrase not peculiar to Belfast and what makes you say 'supposed'? Do you intend to denounce everyone who deviates from your viewpoint as an imposter?

I think if you view his record on here its very hard to believe that Plunkett is from Tyrone.........

Apologies Seanie_Boy, I misunderstood your post. Disregard my reply.
CRH.

So you're going to suggest a namechange to your clubmates?? You kind of have to I suppose when your politics are considered. You've already said that clubs should change their names if they're republican.

I'm flattered you think I yield such power Hurlin but no, I don't think I'll be able to change the name of the club that has been called Plunketts for nearly 100 years. Plus I'd have to change my username on here which could be a hassle

Ah no PP, I know you probably don't have the power to change the club name but you profess time and time again that the majority in the north and south have no interest in a united ireland, such people would be very up for changing from a republican name to a more neutral name?!

Or, are you perhaps afraid of the reality of the situation?? The reality being that all your clubmen would be totally republican like so many in the north and the huge majority of GAA people. How about you suggest it at the AGM and see the reaction.
People shout that they believe something on an internet forum but in real life they are afraid/ashamed that they're beliefs have absolutely no support from their community.

That's a bit of a cop out now Pomeroy Plunkett. Pomeroy were named after Joseph Plunkett, to say you personally take the name of the club to be named after a Church figure is a distortion of the truth.

Ps if you are really from Pomeroy can you for instance name all the pubs in the village?

Ha Ha Hurlin,I would pay money to be at that AGM to see the reaction such a request would get from the GAA people of Pomeroy.

Yes, yes I can. Anyway even if I wasn't from Pomeroy it would be fairly easy to see on google maps. And my club was dedicated to St. Oliver Plunkett so how that's a cop out I don't know. I like how Hurlin thinks he knows the Political views of every single Pomeroy player, I don't even know them myself. I know a lot who have no political views of any kind really, they couldn't care less. I also don't see what relevance your point is about me constantly stating that most people in the North don't want a united Ireland. Do you honestly believe that they do?? I can't really debate with a man who doesn't even know that

Under the patronage of Oliver Plunkett. True but what a cop out. Whose face is on the club crest?

Why do I have to prove to anyone where I'm from. What relevance does that have anyway. Yes Omagh, the patronage of Oliver Plunkett. A great man I'm sure you'll agree

We've asked you to prove where you're from bacause number 1 you said you would do it:

Dear God. And I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about my quaint village if that will satisfy your curiosity

And number 2 many posters on this site believe you to be a fraud, therefore we cant really take your views seriously when you appear to be not who you say you are!!

At the end of the day if you were really from Pomeroy you could answer my question easily but you wont because you cant. Where are you really from? Bit sad to pretend to be someone you're not but hey whatever gives you your kicks.

Deary me, I didn't expect to be taken up on the offer. I'm unsure if I should answer as no doubt the next question will be what was the mass sermon last Sunday about etc. etc. but as you're so desperate to know the pubs are Kate's, Murphy's, Gilly's, Nugents and Daly's. Gilly's would be the one I'd be in the most, it's where the footballers go. Bit sad to spend your days trying to work out if posters on an internet forum are actually from where they say but hey whatever gives you your kicks

It took you way too long to answer the questions Plunkett so they don't count, unless you can name in a more speedy manner the owners of these 5 establishments?

No, because that would be ridiculous. How do you even know this? Are you from Pomeroy?

Ah I see what you did there Pomeroy, you repeated part of my last line back at me, that's humour, right?

To be honest I just prefer to debate with posters who are genuine. I have questioned your credibility, however that's simply because other posters from Pomeroy on the Tyrone board have also questioned whether you are really from Pomeroy. I think it says more about you that numerous posters believe you are a fake (even if you're not).
