Can any team live with Mayo in the qualifiers?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

well the weekend has come and past, and just like i predicted two no events really on show, really dont think anyone can live with mayo in the qualifiers, mayo are just too strong, mayo would have beaten all 4 teams on show yeaterday and that is the harsh realities of things

Would have been beaten by more than what wexford where if they'd been playing the dubs on that form, plus Fermanagh or Armagh would enjoy a walk in the park if either of them were to play Mayo even when they are off form. Mayo are your typical county that run their mouths off - constantly talking the talk but unable to walk the walk. Its just my opinion although i would like to see mayo win an all ireland, id love to see there hurlers make the christy ring cup final thayve made brilliant progress.

well with the draws made, in all honesty should mayo just be given a by to the 1/4 finals and save some team the humiliation of a drubbing, honestly is there even one team that could be even considered near as classy as mayo in the qualifiers?

ball-boy, in response to your comments about the Mayo hurlers - I would love to see a strong Mayo hurling side. It's what the province needs. And not just Mayo, the other counties as well. The ancient sport badly needs a lift in the west. Hopefully youngsters watched the match on Saturday and were enthralled by the performance of the mighty Joe Canning and thought 'I want to be like that' and makes them pick up the hurl.

With Galway and Mayo banging heads in the football it would be great to continue our rivalry in the hurling as well. Best of luck to youse.

I think Monaghan and Kerry is what all GAA fans are talking about. And rightly so. Should be a great match, hopefully. I'd love to see Monaghan win, but it's very, very hard to write off Kerry.
