Anybody got any thoughts on the Leinster Club Championship this year? OffalyBigBall (Offaly) - Posts: 635 - 11/10/2010 13:41:51 794202 Link 0 |
I also think Niall McNamee is a top class player, not sure if you could him in the same bracket as Cooper, mcDonnell, brogan etc but still is a class act. Willie Nelson (None) - Posts: 972 - 11/10/2010 16:04:29 794340 Link 0 |
I don't think the Carlow champions have much of a chance this year with what I have seen. hurlingguru (Carlow) - Posts: 1848 - 11/10/2010 17:44:53 794453 Link 0 |
Did I not read that McNamee also kicked a rake of wides in the county final? MesAmis (Dublin) - Posts: 13837 - 11/10/2010 17:50:31 794458 Link 0 |
Firstly I think it's a bit premature talking about teams that haven't even won the county title yet ie Crokes !! BigSur (Westmeath) - Posts: 1186 - 11/10/2010 18:30:01 794501 Link 0 |

Portlaoise Look stronger than last year..... BigJohn.6_8 (Galway) - Posts: 704 - 12/10/2010 09:52:32 794771 Link 0 |
From my own counties perspective wouldnt be too worried about Skryne! Sure they scored 21 points in a County Final but conceded 4 goals and if Senechalstown had taken all the chances they created the could have conceded 8! Our county final this year is very similar to our county team full of NICE players and NICE football. Gone are the days in Meath when 8-10 points would win the county final!!! Rhode are in with good chance alright, appear to be on the easier side of the draw too so they should fancy their chances of at least getting to the final. If Niall McNamee and Anton Sullivan can keep up the good work inside then they'll be hard to stop for any defence. I'd fancy Portlaois and Moorefield to come out of their respective counties while Dublin will be harder to judge but Crokes will probably be favourites. The 3 of those teams on the same side of the draw would make it very competitive. wild_biffalo (Offaly) - Posts: 91 - 12/10/2010 13:44:42 794997 Link 0 |

I find Skryne at 9/1 quite tempting especially with home draws so to speak at each stage Richieq (Meath) - Posts: 3757 - 13/10/2010 21:58:45 796167 Link 0 |

Am i right in saying portlaoise will represent laois even if arles beat them on sunday, its too hard to call leinster, anyone coulkd win it, kilmacud brigids plaoise skryne garycastle rhode and the kildare champs would be as good as one another, so itl be all on the day, not to mention other clubs going is as underdogs could upset a few teams./ injuries after the internationbal rules could also change things in a big way, but ill be hoping rhode get a good run anyway they deserve a leinster, but that dosent mean they will win one burgandy1 (Offaly) - Posts: 213 - 16/10/2010 21:54:01 798004 Link 0 |
