Its competitive yes but its also very, very parochial, hence the extra needle.

Of course when all the teams in the competition are of the same level with no outstanding team its going to be Competitive but tyrone clubs are of a poor standard and hence all the mauls during and after championship matches in the county

Very competitive and a lot of clubs capable of winning it therefore ye dont have the same boring team every year, exciting stuff

The Tyrone Club Championship is extremely competitive, but as some have already pointed out, it is fuelled by local derbies and the overall quality in comparison to other counties would have to be questioned

Afterall, we have only produced one club who have won a provincial title in 40 odd years.

But there is a history of clubs with great Championship pedigree, like Ardboe, Carrickmore and Clonoe (and others), who go into any Championship campaign believeing they can win it, no matter how poor their team is perceived to be. It's that belief that makes it so hard to call, you can't write very many teams off!

I have followed club football in many counties can there can be little doubt that Tyrone is very competitive at all levels - although competitive does not always mean best,
Tyrone have an excellant schools structure, added to their very successful underage system - there are club footballers who will in all honesty will never get near their County senior team ( but maybe other counties) but have played in Ranafast, McRory, Hogan , Ulster Minor Finals, All-Ireland minor/u-21 Finals, Vocational Finals etc - this level of experience has to raise standards, both Greencastle and Cookstown have reached All-Ireland club junior and intermediate finals, there are possibly 6 contenders for the county senior title , while in Armagh there is only 2/3 contenders,

Cannot say whether Derry is a more competitive championship but they have produced 6 different winners of the Ulster Senior Club championship more than any Ulster county

it is probably no different than any other counties championchip! ud swear a GAA man is not fit to clean the boots of a Tyrone man with the hype that sorrounds them! I believe they have 3 all-irelands to their name! hardly a county to be in constant awe of! they have done well in last decade but any counties championchip is fierce and compeditive.

Stewartstown, Rock and Pomeroy have also reached all ireland finals in recent years lets not forget.

That Pomeroy team was one of the best to come out of Tyrone in centuries. Intermediate champions but if they had been a senior team they would have walked the Senior Championship as well

Derry is spelt D..E..R..R..Y and not T..Y..R...O...N...E.

In the GAA ALL county championships would be competitive in a fiercely contested sense, but Derry over the years produce more successful sides making it more "competitive" in that sense.

In the history of the club championship Tyrone have produced ONE successful side.

One thing about Tyrone is the spread of talent. You will not get the Cavan Gaels, Crossmaglen, St Galls, Ballinderry, domination in this county.

i think thats pretty obvious saying as you have county players breaking other county players jaws in club games.
