Let me get this right;

1. Tyrone are Team of the Decade gone. This is because Tyrone beat Kerry 3 times in the Championship. What does that make Cork, who beat Kerry 4 times in the Championship???
2. The year 2010 was in the decade known as the "noughties". Therefore, the year 2000 was in the "nineties", the year 1990 was in the "eighties", etc. So as Kerry won the All-Ireland in the year 2000, as well as 1997, are Kerry the joint team of the 90's decade? I wouldn't agree with that. Nor would any Kerry fan I know, yet that is what some posters from Cavan and Tyrone are saying here.

There is more to the achievement of the ladies than meets the eye, for the Tyrone ladies to make it to their first ever All-Ireland senior final is quite something considering the controversy that dogged the start of the season.

The players were being asked to pay £2 per training session to pay for kits meals transport balls etc and this did not go down well at all, seems the county board had forgotten to collect sponsorship monies from the previous season and there was a serious shortfall in the kitty. It did not bode well for a successful season ahead and when they were beaten by Armagh in Ulster it looked a lost cause.




For those who maybe live in Meath and know nothing about events in the North of the country, and little about the GAA, the COUNTY board referred to above is OBVIOUSLY the ladies.

Sorry about the earlier confusion, I assumed EVERYONE already knew that.
