dismissing people's questionining of your church as hatred is a cop out, i don't do hatred, i merely point out the anomolies in its statements that affect society in genearal. what you boys get up in your the privacy of you own homes, churches, convents etc is of no consequence to me , that is once its legal and not interfering with other peoles rights of course. unfortunately i live in country where its tentacles are deep rooted in most facets of life, especially education and health, i dont expect a corruption that has taken 100 years to get a foothold to vanish overnight but to borrow a slogan from another quarter "tiocfaidh ar la"

I had no intention of dismissing your concerns at all. perhaps I used the wrong words I did not mean to cause you offence. The fact that I have tried to show you my position on the matter shows I have no wish to dismiss your legitimate concerns. I can not speak for the church I can not apologise for the Church. But I would retain My right to believe in my faith. I do not use the church for spiritual sustenance as you put but I do see it as my Vehicle to progress my faith journey. And I am happy in my position as you may be in yours. I would point out that you and others use this forum to attack the Church and in response on occasion I respond to clarify my position . I am no expert, but I would have thought that the £30 million spent would be small fry as to what pilgrims, protestors and such would spend over the 4-5 days that the Pope is in Britain. A friend of mine heading to Ibrox today was complaining that the ferries and airlines were packed to capacity, hotels, pubs, cafes etc are all doing a roaring trade as are merchandise sellers. Maybe the trip was arranged to boost economic activity?

And but for the grace of God and an accident of birth I expect you would be attempting to march down Garvaghy Road. How can you complain about people attacking a church, on reasoned grounds, and then say you simply hate Islam? Lot of followeres in Tyrone are there?

But I mentioned God whose ONLY command was "love thy neighbour" so obviously you do not put much store in him.

Thank you. But i would like you to know that I fully understand where you come from. The problems within the Church can not be explained away. No amount of words will wash away the sins of the perpetrators and those who covered it up. The only expiation of these sins will be through Forgiveness.

Actually there were 10 commandments.


The ten came from a capitalist salesman called Moses, who certainly though if you are going to sell something, have a bit of variety, as like potato crisps.

So Moses had ten, alleged ghanded to him by some God up a mountain. What a sales pitch.

The "prophet" labour, trade union leader Jesus of Nazarath however had but one, "love thy neighbour".

And his anti capitalist stance was his downfall.

yes pat , they are ten commandants , the point i am making was , i cannot believe how people under the name of islam can walk into the platform of a tube , and look at people knowing he is strapped with explosives , especially chidren [ and one these bombers was a creche teacher ] and praying while at any second a large explosion is going to murder innocent people , i do not really hate anyone pat , but this extreme of getting a point across really sickens me how they feel they will get into paradise by murdering thousands of innocent bystanders , please pat can yyou not see what i am saying here , but you are always trying to put people down , and not listen to genuine fears and acts of aggression that are been commited in the NAME OF GOD .

i have not the slightest interest in the expiation of sins or forgiveness in the Christian sense. i want justice in the criminal sense. forgiveness has no real part in that.
