Tipp U21 Hurling Champions

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

5-22 to 12..............phew, Tipp didn't hold back, whole team seemed to be on top of Galway. Having said that, some good goal attempts by Galway's forwards only to be equally well saved by the Tipp goalie. Tipp were on a roll from the beginning 2 goals in the first two minutes great team. Fans on the pitch here too.

Well done Tipp !!

Jesus, an unbelievable team. A new level of hurling has arrived. Hurling has been dragged kicking and screaming into the 21st Century.

Great win for the lads... comerisations to galway, if they had taken their chances at the start it may have been closer.

Some performance by Tipp only team that scared them this year was Cork and then clare in the first 10 minutes of Munster Final. Congrats some exceptional performers in that team and the future looks very bright for them

It it was played in Galway Tipp wpuld have won by 30 points just to shut them up as they wouldnt have taken off Heffernan McGrath and Paddy Murphy with ten minutes to go!!

The home pitch did not really matter even doh I think it was unfair as there was nearly 20,000 Tipp fans & just over 1000 Galway. Very hard on Galway but thats a serious Tipp team.Galway will be back as thats a young team.Hard luck to them I feel sorry for the goalie.

Great to see hurling doing well in the weaker counties.

In the past Tipperary threatened to dominate hurling but faded away. Between 1978 and 1985 they were in SEVEN U21 finals, winning four of them, but this translated into a meagre two senipor wins in 1989 and 91.

Hopefully this time they can go the distance and stay up with the big boys.

And congrats again to Tipp.

This year they won senior and U21, Kilkenny won the intermediate, minor, club and colleges.

Should hopefully make the future interesting.
