Whats that one with the massive graveyard behind the goal?

Dr. Hyde Park in Roscommon has a graveyard behind it I believe.

In anyways the most scenic GAA pitches are of course the corporation pitches at Fairview!

I dont know but when a team is ahead, time nearly up and playing into that end, they are always told to "make sure the ball goes dead"

wise_guy, that is some pitch alright. I played this one in 2006 in an Ulster Hurling Quarter Final. We beat Ballybofey by five points on a run to the Ulster Final. Was some place. The rear goals are right on the shore. And yeah the flys did eat us, lethal. Hard to get to though, we thought we were lost when we were on the way, its out in the sticks indeed.

Celtic park in Derry, after the Match you can take a Scenic walk around the walled city and visit Free Derry Corner and the Bloody Museum, Casement park also very scenic take a sightseeing bus up the falls and down the Shankill and if your lucky enough you might get some authentic rioting by some youths that have nothing better to do.

Ya Micheal Cusack's in Carron is class: a patch of green completely surrounded by rock. Also Galbally's pitch in Limerick, overlooked by the Galtee mountains.

Some spot isn't it.? Its known as the "low country" and it takes in Clonoe, Derrylaughan, Derrytresk (the Hill Hut), Maghery (Co Armagh), Moortown, Ardboe and possibly some parts of Co Derry!

Also O'Neill Park in Dungannon with a view of the Lisnahull Eastate (the Hull) which is cold on a hot day!!

Here's a link to show the approx location of Glenariffes pitch in the Glens. The pitch itself is located just to the left of the cluster of houses on the right hand side of the photo. The picture is taken from the top of Lurig which is slightly higher but similar to the mountain you can see on the far side and they both enclose the Glen itself (to try and give a bit of perspective). If your standing down at the pitch and look out across the sea you're looking over at Scotland and can see it clearly.

Tis wise guy - unfortunately their pitch and club/changing rooms don't exaclty match the beauty of the surroundings.

The Tir Na Nog pitch in Portadown's Garvaghy Rd overlooks the Drumcree Church, scene of serious trouble in the 90's.

Crosshaven in Cork.

It is very high up and there is always a gale force wind even on a still summer's evening. Great view over the harbour area though. Adrigole, Glengarriff and Garnish also have great views.

Orlaith you cant see the sea at Downings!! There is a lound in the way and the surface is wild, beautiful part of the country though.

Pitches in the Glens of Antrim take some beating in my opinion, pity about the Scottish accents you've to put up with.
Casement is an Iconic Pitch for me as is Coalisland, pitches with history behind them.
