(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Have been doing a bit of research and discovered the fantastic locations of the the grounds / pitches for An Gaeltacht in Kerry, Gweedore in Donegal and Oileann Arainn in Galway. In peoples opinion, what other great / interesting grounds are there around Ireland?

Have to say there are a few very scenic grounds around the Glens in Antrim - Glenariffe and Glenravel spring to mind.

Derrylaughan Kevin Barry's with Lough Neagh behind the goals. The flys are hell though!!

I played on one in Antrim a few years ago looking over the sea it was nice. Can't remember who's it was, maybe Cushedun or the Dall.

The Inishturk GAA pitch is class. Its pretty small and cut out of the side of a mountain. Seen it on pride of the parish or something like that.

Aughrim is nice but the prize has to go to the Kilmacanogue pitch which is hidden among trees about a third of the way up the Sugar Loaf. What a spot!

There's a picture of the pitch on this link with the mountains in the background. A great spot to play football.
