You make me laugh when you say that if Cluxton gets an all star its a joke. Cluxton has been nothing short of exceptional since the Meath match, any GAA man with half a brain will tell you that. And the 5 goals were down to the Dublin defence that day not Cluxton. You are quick enough to dismiss McGauley as a contender aswell. You are so bias against Dublin its unbelievable and sometimes you just cant hide it, IMO.

If I was picking an All-Star team today, as in pre-final....

McVeigh
Shields, O'Carroll, J. McMahon
Bolton, McKernan, Kissane
McAuley, Keenan
Kelly, Clarke, Kavanagh
Cooper, Brogan, Doyle

But obviously the All-Ireland Final will change the landscape considerably when it comes to selecting such teams.

I see alot of people have put Paddy Keenan in their team of the year and although i would love to see him get in the team and win an All-Star, i dont see it happening. He is a brilliant player but the team will be picked mainly around the teams who made it to the last four.

Would just like to voice my amusement at the people putting O'Carroll at full-back in their teams. Think we got a fair estimation of his true worth when he was let go toe to toe with a few decent Meath forwards. He was so bad that day that Gilroy had to completely overhaul the team's tactics just to protect him and his two compatriots in the corners from a repeat performance. And don't be fooled into thinking that he has miraculously improved since, the cover provided by playing thirteen men behind the ball has been his saving grace.

Good man Crofter.
A third of your team are flourbags and one of your corner-backs is the Down manager.

Benny Coulter HAS to be in there. I would argue that he's been just as good if not better than Clarke this year.

Marty Clarke is nailed on to win the annual 'Just back from Australia and massively overhyped' player of the year award.
He can pick it up off Tadhg Kennelly when he heads back to Collingwood.

Hard to pick a team of the year so far, but I suppose the like of Johnny Doyle, Bernard Brogan and the Gooch are certs at this stage. Justin McMahon from Tyrone is far and away the best full back in the country, while Benny Coulter and Martin Clarke might get one on the back of their sides run to the final. Owen Mulligan had a good summer, while O'Carrol for Dublin and McDonnell from Armagh did well too.

Interesting team. You have 5 Kildare players on the team. Kildare lost the semi-final. You have one Cork player on the team. Cork won the league and are in the final. Obviously, you pick the team and it is your opinion. I have no problem with that, however, do you think you have been realistic?

Kennelly didnt win the "player of the year" award. Anyway if you have to be over hyped to win it, it should go to one of the players from the "6 best forward unit in the country", maybe Joe Sheridan!

What are you suggesting so? Not enough Meath players?
