This reminds of a barbaric act of cruelty performed by one member of household. JuanVeron (Westmeath) - Posts: 1866 - 01/09/2010 16:55:58 762700 Link 0 |

TA 32, what would you define as cruelty to animals? Is just the killing of them cruel? Is it not cruel to test cosmetic products on animals? Do you agree with that? Do you boycott shampoo because there is cruelty of animals involved in the production of most cosmetic products? patmcgee (Longford) - Posts: 520 - 01/09/2010 17:01:29 762711 Link 0 |

TA 32, my policy on killing animals is they should be killed only when needs be. People probably wont lioke me saying this but animals are resources just like everything else in our world. We should use them to better our lives so in that case i would certainly agree with you. patmcgee (Longford) - Posts: 520 - 01/09/2010 20:30:02 762929 Link 0 |

When I see people carrying out evil, sadistic acts such as this, I rue the day we abolished capital punishment. Scruffy2Donut (Cavan) - Posts: 1112 - 02/09/2010 09:07:00 763078 Link 0 |

Just to add another 2c to the debate, I am not a fan of blood sports, however I have killed rats by digging out their nest with the help of 2 Jack Russels. My aim was to eradicate the rat problem as quickly as possible without any undue suffering. So I do not claim to be two-faced in this debate. However my residence was over-run by rats at the time. The problem has been somewhat fixed as a recently moved in neighbour keeps 6 cats so nature has taken it's course & I no longer have rat problems. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6628 - 02/09/2010 12:19:45 763255 Link 0 |
