Galway should refuse to play in Thurles.

You really must have nothing to do only just winding fellas up on this. To be honest i hope ye do beat KK but i cant see it happening my man. Their just 2 good at the moment. Also Cork would of beaten Tipp Under 21s if Ciaran sheehan and Aidan Walsh where left play.Unfortunately they werent and i guess thats the way it goes. Best of luck anyway on sunday. You better be prepared to take some slagging on this if Tipp lose both finals :)

whos ciaran sheehan and Aisan Walshe I never heard of them

I bet you heard of John O neill though on the senior panel who missed yer game because of a cruciate how much would our u 21s have beaten ye by if he was playing do you think?? and we wouldnt have needed extra time either!!

Kenlim,
Since 2005 the All Ireland U21 final has been played on the same day as the camogie finals in Croke Park,it was working well and there was nio need to change it.

even if the u21 final was fixed last may, how difficult would it have been to have set aside provisions for a scenario like the one that has just occurred.
tis absolutely ridiculous, god help us but the GAA havent a clue.

You say your not complaining about having to play the U21 All Ireland 6 days after the Senior but you are, stop going on about it. You didnt here Kilkenny complaining in 99, 03, 04, 06, 08, 09.

show me where anyone says its Tipps fault thurles. Its the GAA's fault, as someone says there should have been a provision for a switch should a scenario like this unfold.

It is not fair.

Galway could not have objected to Semple Stadium as a venue for the U-21 Final until after they had qualified. Likewise, it would not be known that Tipperary would be in the Final until after the semi-final. I also cannot remember it ever been publicised last May that the Final would be in Thurles. Frankly, I have never heard of a county getting home advantage in an All-Ireland Final (that is outside of Croke Park, and Dublin don't train there).

It has happened before Sportman, Tipp. u21s played the final against the Cats (and were duly slaughtered) in Kilkenny in 04.The Cats have played Tipp in Thurles a couple of times in finals, but then it isn't a 2 and a half hour drive to Thurles from KK.Bottom line is it should be played in a neutral venue convienent to both Counties unless one of the Counties involved is happy to conceed home advantage.

barnowl - tipp and kk have an arrangement for home/away ties when they meet. Galway and Tipp don't, making this a disgrace!

They should have left the U-21 final in Croke Park, its a sad state of affairs when a Camogie Junior final takes precedence over the U-21 final. Most people do not care about camogie, all you ever hear at these games is loads of screaming kids who were obviously let in for nothing, put the U-21 final back in Croker where it belongs.

As a Tipp fan I think it's odd that we should get to play a National final in our own backyard. I can understand why Galway fans would be frustrated.

I was just making a point about Sheehan and Walsh. They where huge losses but thats the way it goes. Obviously your 10 year old brain aint able to dilute a valuable point.

Yes i reckon we would of won had our 2 best players been aloud to play but i also did state thats the way it goes. You just cant see beyond the blue and yellow tinted glasses. Your shouting your mouth off but yet Tipp aint won anything yet. If you dont win on sunday then clearly it has been a total failure of Tipp this year.

Believe me man i want ye to win but try and lose your arrogance towards everyone on Hoganstand.

thurlesblues:

Wrong again I point you in the right direction see as you weren't at the game..... the four catches seamus henessy made in midfield and the scores tipp got directly from that got tipp to extra time in that game.... also the young redhead lad cork brought on wing forward his name escapes me at this stage in the 2nd half he did damage for cork so if he was on from the start who knows.

Tipps u21 team is a class act but were below par against cork and the first 10 mins against clare but I fully believe they'll win the all-ireland this year if they stay injury free... after seeing galway in the semi final (another game you weren't at) galway are short a few attacking options they have 3 good forwards from what i saw and if dublin had a free taker it might have been a different result. Tipp will put up a big score as they are really playing 8 forwards on the u21 team as henessy and McGrath are playing midfield....

the u21 final was always played the week after the seniors and tb how many of these 9 players are playing both final.

only problem id have with the venue is that its awkward to get to from galway. now doesn't bother me, im from portumna, only an hours drive, but its two hours if coming from the city or any where near there.
