Galway should refuse to play in Thurles.

Whatever about teh ground, and I do think a neutral venue is fairer but the Tipp lads do have a point about it being a great hurling surface and teh fact that it was decided montsh ago, it is absolutely shocking that they would play an all ireland under 21 final under floodlights. One of teh major trophies of the year and its pushed to a late night forgotten fixture.

Says a lot about what they really think of hurling up in HQ. Hurlingdub is right, the under 21 final is often the game of the year. A farce.

Yes pudders it should be played on the Sunday in daylight but maybe its not in Croker because of the crowd capacity and a better athmosphere in Thurles

thurles, some pitches are bigger than others!

I like going to Thurles. Its a good pitch. I just don't think a county should get home advantage for an All-Ireland final, unless there's a reciprocal arrangement there. I think its simply unfair.

Croke Park is different, as its the national stadium. Dublin have a designated home venue in Parnell park.

It's ridiculous for Tipp to have a home venue for the final and degrading to the competition to have it under lights. This was clear months ago however and Galway should now just get on with it, the time to object was before Tipp got to the final.
On another point, it is hardly worthwhile logging onto Hogansatnd anymore. Every single hurling thread is destroyed by the Thurlesblouse. Hopefully with schools reopening tomorrow things will return to normal.

I think Thurlesblue will be quiet for a while after KK hammer their seniors again and the GAA are doing all in their power to accomodate poor Tipp in the U21 to compensate in a small way for their seniors!

Tommy k Im surprised that you dont know that the venue for the hurling u 21 final was fixed for Thurles before the championship began do you expect it to be changed just cos Galwas are whinging?? and by the way Kilkenny seniors havent a hope of coming within 5 points of Tipp on Sunday!

by the way all you Galway cribbers seeing as ye are objecting to Semple stadium how would ye feel if Tipp object to playing next Saturday seeing as its only a week after the senior final and 9 of our players are involved and could pick up injuries or be worn out ?? how would ye feel about that ? we are not complaining though are we?? so get on with it surely ye are the ones with the advantage of freshness here!!!

You really must have nothing to do only just winding fellas up on this. To be honest i hope ye do beat KK but i cant see it happening my man. Their just 2 good at the moment. Also Cork would of beaten Tipp Under 21s if Ciaran sheehan and Aidan Walsh where left play.Unfortunately they werent and i guess thats the way it goes. Best of luck anyway on sunday. You better be prepared to take some slagging on this if Tipp lose both finals :)

147sportsman it looks like your thread's got a bad case of thurlesblues or to give it it's latin name sameoulgufficus. Recognised syptoms are unfailing tendencies to cut and paste your posts repeatedly. Once it get's a grip on your thread it's virtually unstoppable. Best thing is to cut it off at the roots by ignoring it. It's the worst Summer in living memory for this infestation.

Not really bothered where they play it, as while there is no doubt that Thurles is a home game for Tipp its more to do with the fact that Thurles is a god awful venue to get to from Galway, depending on traffic it can take anything up to five hours depending on which part of Galway you are traveling from. By the way does anybody know why the U-21 final was moved from before the Camogie Final?

because camogie association wanted to have junior and intermediate comogie finals on as triple header with the senior camogie final plus gaa felt that bigger crowds would go to u21 finals if in thurlas

The GAA walk all over the Galway County Board yet again! You would wonder what they are at, they played the NHL final under lights and now the 21 final. Are these guys trying to kill hurling ?They are not going to change the venue at this stage so Galway should insist on the next final between Galway and Tipp being played at a Galway venue.( I would suggest the Field on Inis Oirr,Aran Islands!)

final under floodlights as to avoid a clash with the camogie finals

Tipp u 21s have to play ye 6 days after a senior final where 9 of our players are involved if that was ye not alone would ye be cribbing about the venue but yed be cribbing about the date of the fixture also stop moaning and play the game ye will be beaten 10 points anyway as its the same minor team that beat ye ten points in 2007
and Kilkenny will be be beaten 7 points by our seniors on Sunday Tipop gifted ye two goals to keep the score down against ye in the semi final and Canning as usual didnt get a puck off the Tipp full back line. Twill bw anothe 21 years for ye my man and thats a mighty long time!! Yer a laughing stock!!
