Aussie Rules Selection

I think Eoghan O'Gara and Eamonn Fennell are two contendors from my own county IF Anthony tohill envisages a Physically strong side .. they are two big lads .. very big infact .. as one poster already said .. Eamonn Fennell is half man half machine in terms of sheer physicality ..

If they are going to look for better skilful players .. Then i think the likes of Bernard Brogan would be there .. Stephen Bray .. etc

Surprise inclusions may be G.Reilly (Meath) , James Kavanagh (Kildare) , etc etc ..

can believe no1 has mentioned pierce hanley from mayo, who is playing mighty stuff for the brisbane lions. id imagine he would be one of the first players on the teamsheet.

Lads forget about power the game is all about pace not size ... if the backs arent quick enough the aussie forwards will be 3 steps quicker to a ball and claim marks at ease ... I agree with these few as genuine contenders
1)Paul Galvin 2)Clarke 3) Bernard Brogan 4)Kerrigan 5)Danny Hughes 6)Michael Meehan

However i dont think players below would be fit or quick enough
1) john galvin 2)fennell 3)o'gara 4)pearce o neill

Also alot of people are bigging up players for the rules as to there height but as a matter of fact most AFL players are under the 6' 2" mark with only the quickest and tallest ala barry hall a ruckman ...

I like the look of elmatador's selection best... a good mix of speed, strength and a knowledge of who's actually been doing well down under, past and present.
