Thanks for that Rover tin, really looking forward to it. The woolen mills visit could be expensive then :)

No bother. You'll need to keep the plastic hidden when you go in there.

752751 Thats a magnanimous gesture ORH, injecting some badly needed cash into the hardpressed Mayo economy, I hope that its duly recognized by all Mayo posters

Don't know about the magnanimity of the gesture but I know that the Mayo economy got a fair boost. All joking aside, a good time was had by all. People were friendly, food was good and the porter was, well porter!! Went to Old Head beach,

I cycled out to Old Head twice last week, and once walked the "right of way" path from Louisburgh past the houses alleged belonging to Matt and Brian, and into Old head car park.

Old head has improved, used to full of has been sports stars like Roy Keane and Kevin Moran, nice to see that myself, Omaghred and Omar have lifted the tone.

Don't go anywhere near Foxford !! The missus got in there a few years ago and one of those rug making machines put a hell of a hole in my credit card, still trying to fix it !!
Stick to Achill and Louisburg as they are nice places and visit Clifden !!

Just back from Mayo and it was well worth the drive. Stayed in the Ice House in Ballina and travelled around quite a bit. Ballina is a great wee town with plenty of shops and good places to eat/drink. Foxford is a nice place and the Woolen mills are indeed a dear spot (managed to avoid heavy purchasing) Beautiful scenery and Westport/ Clifden is very touristy and pleasant. Locals were first class and very welcoming.

Highly recommended to all.
