Educated by Nuns, Snuffy learned the following:

- Never turn your back on God. Result of this was that Snuffy and all the kids in his class used to try and uncomfortably sleep on our backs which was unnatural for us. It was only years later that a kid that was in my class told me that his mother went up to the school to tell the nun to stop telling such things to the kids cos he couldnt sleep and was afraid when going to bed!.....Poor little 5 year olds!

- That if we stole anything our hands would burn in hell!!.....5 years old!

- and on another topic, we were told that there was a famine in Ireland in the mid 1800's when it was really genocide!!.....Apparently they still preach this lie!!

Probably because they were culpable, in that they did the bare minimum or nothing at a hierarchial level to alleviate it. Peasants weren't significant contributors to the churches wealth.
