It's the only four-in-a-row he'll ever be associated with mooncat. Let him enjoy it :-)

Nice one thurlesblouse, you've managed to both miss the point and back up my argument in the same post! It doesn't matter whether Tipp have won 37, 38 or 138 Munster titles, the fact is the Munster championship, for long periods of its history has been dominated by two counties, similar to how Leinster has been dominated by one. That's alright, you stick to the librarian stuff and the rest will stick to the proper assessment.

just stating the facts Tong when you make a statement make sure its right otherwise it disredits your whole point.

yeah there is that tradition from a tipp point of view thats like 40 years ago it didn't help us in the all ireland last year when we lost maybe the bit of tradition might help us over the line september 5th only positive thing is tipp teams usually play well when they get to finals so here's hoping

you see it does matter to us Tongo whether we have 37 or 38 munster titles.

Thurlesblues: to quote Andrew Lang: you use statistics as a drunken man uses lampposts - for support, rather than for illumination.

Tipp will do the same thing to Wwaterford as they did to Kilkenny
Brian Cody didnt seem too happy when the final whistle blew and saw who he has to face in the final!

For crying out loud admin... how can someone get away with posting 7 replies in a row... if you trying to get rid of hurling posters I think yer going the right way about it.... and yet people who create replies with decent content don't get their posts throught....

Also Patrique, corkcelt sayer and the like might back this up but kilkenny havn't had it all their own way in leinster until recently... Wexford won leinster titles a good majority of the time since the 50's also offaly came good in the early 80's and both wexford and offaly won titles in the 90's

Now look at munster it was basically a cork tipp battle from the 50 to the early 70's althought i believe waterford had a good team in the mid 60's.... if was then really Limerick and cork in the 70's and 80's if anything.... clare and waterford didn't come on the scene really till the 90's so what happened in munster was really mirrored in leinster.

The only difference really was from 2000 on where munster would have been more competitive.. But kilkenny dominated the munster teams in this time frame bar a few all-ireland from cork... and hopefully tipp can put an end to kilkenny having the upper had on them in the 2000's

agreed big apple if we can beat the cats hopefully we could go on for a bit of dominance something we weren't able to do after 2001

Thurlesblues is single handedly ruining any decent hurling discussions on here. The topic is soon forgotten after he posts a number of ridiculous comments. Not sure if it is someone deliberately being annoying or if there is someone that pig-headed and stupid out there

Tongo:

Yeah one of my favourites was where he said that kilkenny played above theselves to beat tipp last year yet went on to say in the next post kilkenny didn't get a touch of the ball in the 2nd half.... how can a team that supposidly did get a touch of the ball be playing above themselves??
