All Tipp have to do is play a bit better than they did last year as Tipp were not at their best on the day

thurlesblues - where do you think ye can win this game? Is there a particular line on the field that ye reckon ye can dominate?
slayer , 30/08/2010 at 13:37

I think Kilkenny midfield is weak and also they are weak down the middle Tipp dominated them in every line last year except the half forward line as Kilkenny hardly got the ball past the Tipp half backline in the second half last year. This year Tipp have 6 scoring forwards and the half forward line is better that is why we will win .It will be 7 points and if Tipp play like they can it could be a lot more Slayer.

Interesting analysis thurlesblues.

I have put money on Tipp to win so from a financial point of view I hope you are right. If not, then Kilkenny will be proving you wrong & proving that last years was no fluke.

Thurlesblue-your logic and lack of ability to analyse a game never ceases to amaze me. Have you factored in that Tipp are not playing to the same level as last year and Kilkenny seem to have moved up a gear. Also I would be worried if you factor in that Tipp have conceded large scores against them in every game this year. Ye havent come up against a set of forwards like Kilkenny this year so ye could be in for a long afternoon in headquarters. Hope its a good game.

I think if KK play to their potential they should win by a few points,I think it will be a close game though

thats true Slayer and Il admit it too no problem if they beat us
A good bet is 10/1 for Tipp to win by 5 to 7 points which I think is very likely. Ive 30.00 down. Crazy odds really

Actually kindomfan Tipp are way better than they were last year, it doesnt matter what you concede when you score more than the opposing team what did they concede against Wwaterford shure the lads were winding down for a shower when Waterford got the consolation goal. Tipp scored 3-15 out of 3-19 from play I cant remember Kilkenny having the ability to do that. And by the way Kilkenny havent come up against a set of forwards like Eoin Kelly Noel McGrath and Lar Corbett either. Tipp didnt peak yet Kindomfan you will see how good they are on Sunsay. How have Kilkenny moved up a gear from last year?? They beat Dublin by 19 points no surprise there seeing as Antrim beat Dublin. Galway didnt turn up in Leinster final and Cork are finished is that a good enough analysis for you?

Dont think so this year Slayer with all the "bogus " injuries thats a sign of panic and trying to play mind games in my book. What that is is a sign of weakness!!

Underage hurling roundup
30 August 2010

Hosts Tipperary retained the Tipperary Supporters' Club All-Ireland under 16 hurling title yesterday when they powered to a 2-20 to 0-9 victory over Galway at Semple Stadium.

Star of the show for the winners was John McGrath - younger brother of senior ace Noel - who scored 0-11, 0-10 of which came from placed balls. Tipp never looked in any danger after Kevin Slattery's 28th minute goal had given them a 1-13 to 0-4 lead at the break. And when Stephen Cahill added a second four minutes after the restart, the game was up for Galway.

This is just another reminder to ye all of whats coming this decade !!

Thurlesblues your posts are very entertaining, especially the 5-7 points one, very good! Looking forward to you not being able to post any more tripe after Sunday. The greatest hurling team ever to grace Croke Park will complete the 5 in a row.

Did you read the papers today johnny 1951 it says that Tipp are the county that Kilkenny fear

do you know why?
its because they are sick of Tipp whipping their butts in all ireland finals down through the years except for the fiasco of last year,
thats why we will never consider them the greatest team of all time especially when we beat them yet again in another final on Sunday.

That's because they are the second best team in the country so obviously they would be the team they fear the most. You read it in the papers? Oh damn, Cody may as well concede now!

What are we going to do if Tipp win though? He's been here telling us all for about 4 months now that Tipp are the greatest and if they win, then yes they are the best side of 2010. It's a horrendous thougt :-)

It would actually be easier if Kilkenny won as thurlesblues will probably disappear & the Kilkenny lads on here ain't one bit arrogant so we won't have to be listening to any jawin'.
