Gooch is still a cut above the rest but bernard is on par with all the other sublime forwards in the game waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13655 - 12/08/2010 13:17:54 744122 Link 0 |

brogan is good. and he's having an excellent year. but one good championship does not make you one of the best. id still have johnny doyle anyday. 7 or 8 years he's consistently done it for kildare. brogan has a long way to go to match the likes of the gooch, mcdonnel, meehan and doyle. the dubs are blowing him up, like they usually do when they win one big match thebear10 (Galway) - Posts: 68 - 12/08/2010 14:00:25 744212 Link 0 |
I have been impressed with Bernard Brogan over the past couple of years, He can score with right or left, is quick and strong and has the ability to create space for himself, all in all a top forward. bryanadams (Kildare) - Posts: 733 - 12/08/2010 14:13:22 744241 Link 0 |
The bear, what about the non dubs on this thread who are blowing him up........what about them Bear? Davethemonk (Dublin) - Posts: 117 - 12/08/2010 14:31:29 744281 Link 0 |
Relax there Monky, he was only stating a point. Give Brogan a few years and then we'll see, there is hope for him alright but let him prove it against Cork and then again over the next few years consistently. Rattler2010 (Kildare) - Posts: 117 - 12/08/2010 15:57:08 744419 Link 0 |

Gooch is so over rated its not funny anymore, he needs Donaghy to serve everything to him on a plate. Redfoot (Cork) - Posts: 388 - 13/08/2010 10:22:45 745032 Link 0 |
Gooch is the best forward since maurice fitz. He's unreal in club football aswell. mikeoc (Kerry) - Posts: 567 - 13/08/2010 10:30:46 745039 Link 0 |

Anyone on here saying that the gooch is not that good is living in a dream land, the lad is an amazing footballer. He is wthout a doubt the most skillfull footballer presently playing football and maybe the most skillfull ever.He is an absolute joy to watch, passing, shooting taking on men and beating them with ease, awareness the lad has almost everything,he has 2 weaknesses and they are his strength and winning his own ball. omaghjoe (Tyrone) - Posts: 1191 - 13/08/2010 12:31:15 745198 Link 0 |

Brogan will be a fantastic player I'm sure but its still very early in his career. BlueSon2010 (Dublin) - Posts: 23 - 13/08/2010 13:03:20 745249 Link 0 |
if dublin win the all ireland this year it will be similar to argentina winning the world cup in 1986, winning with one brilliant player and the rest really only good to average. millhouse (Meath) - Posts: 892 - 13/08/2010 13:16:25 745265 Link 0 |
To have Michael Meehan on the same line as Colm Cooper is ridiculous, Meehan is great on his day has never been consistent. Cooper is a class above imo and mr reliable. Sligonian (Sligo) - Posts: 1897 - 13/08/2010 14:22:31 745369 Link 0 |
