Hard to pick songs! I don't own an i-pod but I've been collecting music since I was 12. It's really nice to have the cd and the artwork that goes along with it. I have about 350 albums in original packaging. Cost me a bomb but it's alot cheaper now than it was a few years ago. Here are my favourites:

Classic rock: Neil Young, bob dylan, roy orbison, van morrison, lou reed& velevt underground, beatles, pink floyd, doors, creedance clearwater revival, clapton. etc. etc.
World: Amadou and mariam, seu jorge, buena vista social club.
Modern: Weezer, jeff buckley, the strokes, arcade fire, fleet foxes, Beck, Supergrass, flaming lips, whipping boy, fred, the dandy warhols, the pixies, pearl jam, rage against the machine, the breeders, the jesus and mary chain, architecture in helsinki and many many more.
New stuff: Mumford and sons, band of horses, cathy davey.
Trad: Christy, tommy makem and the clancy bothers, dubliners, luke, pogues, planxty, paul brady, Kila.

Irish are underlined...
