Cork were a better team under Gerald

What i thought was really worrying from a Cork point of view was very poor basic skills. Numerous hand-passes were short or mis-directed, striking of the ball was poor (few times from sean og this season), and an inability to rise the ball 1st time (niall mccarthy in particular). There is alot of miles on the legs of the o'connors, sean og, tom kenny, niall mccarhty and donal og. Aisake and Cussen cant hurl. They both need to be let go from the panel. How the young O'Sullivan didnt start is unbelieveable. Cadogan is not a full back either. May be more suited to wing back.

On the bright side think Gardiner has had an excellent year (even though i'm not a fan of his) Naughton, Patrick Horgan, Brian Murphy, Shane O'Neill are all very good intercounty players. Alot of work needs to be done and someone has to stamp out that running game as it is no longer effective.

Could be few lean year ahead for Cork. Munster is really at the mercy of Tipp for 4-5 years (depending on what way Clares young players improve)

sirshaughs you are right about Tipp dominating Munster they have won the last 2 out of 3 munster titles ,9 of the team are u21 and Tipp u21s killed off Clare in the Munster final, they are looking at dominating Munster like the cats are in Leinster cant see anything to stop them!
