dhorse - I wasn't having a go at Dells comment, rather pomeroy's ludicrous suggestion/generalisation that 'The ROI is a complete and utter shambles, every single aspect of the UK is better.' abhainn (Galway) - Posts: 1000 - 08/08/2010 16:47:59 739995 Link 0 |

abhainn you don't think Ireland is in a shambolic state then? Tell that to the two hundred thousand Irish men and women who are having to emigrate pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 08/08/2010 17:19:40 740025 Link 0 |

Whats your story Pomeroy, you don't seem to like anybody? At least you are for a united Ireland in general which is what the thread is about. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 08/08/2010 18:02:47 740082 Link 0 |

BooBoo I have already explained why I only asked for a yes or no answer,to avoid the unavoidable I suppose given where the thread is at.We are even discussing the Merits of Turkey being in the Eu now ffs!!! seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 08/08/2010 18:05:43 740086 Link 0 |

This a mute point. I have proved time and time again about the welfare state that is N. Ireland. For the great unwashed i will direct them to a thread where i showed the the budget deficit of N. Ireland is over 2.5 times that of Greece!!! paddyogall (Mayo) - Posts: 5110 - 08/08/2010 18:08:56 740089 Link 0 |

abhainn I'm well aware the North is dependant on Westminster. That's why I don't want to leave. What ROI wouldn't give to be subsidised by Westminster now eh pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 08/08/2010 18:11:12 740092 Link 0 |

Patrique, the vote was taken under duress so it hardly counts as being truly democratic.Whats your own opinion on a united Ireland, yes or no? I think its ok at this point to waffle on endlessly about why you do or do not support the idea, everybody else has. seanie_boy (Tyrone) - Posts: 4235 - 08/08/2010 18:13:16 740097 Link 0 |

Paddy it is indeed a 'mute' point. People who bleat about a United Ireland strangely don't seem to have morals when it comes to picking up their British money from the dole office or getting their pay cheque from Her Majesty's Civil Service. The UK doesn't want us but we don't want to leave. Long may we suckle from the UK's financial teat pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 08/08/2010 18:17:27 740106 Link 0 |
