Plunkett-and so you should be.The fact that you have acknowledged the shame of your position goes some way in attempting to demonstrate that you do have some redeeming attributes.

dhorse-not much change in the interim I should think.Enjoy your holiday.Paris buns ok when you get back?

Bit of everything really, going to pay homage to the gallantry at galipolli, game at galatasary, bit of trekking in the Caucasus, no rushs or bog hopefully, and into Armenia, people up with the Irish at grudge holding. Riga is on the litinery also but i might be on medevac by then. Back for the ploughing and county finals.

P.S. There's no sign of the hair coming back, however i did notice that the burdizzo has a couple of rivets missing and i'm getting the odd bullock's notion, so it might be back to the combover.

Honestly I am trying my hardest to be a true Republican, I've bought all the Wolfe Tones cd's and have ordered a Celtic top with 'Ra no. 1' on the back. I'll let you know how the conversion goes, hate being so unenlightened

And he went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

I believe it's not that far off, maybe 2 generations;
A uniter Ireland would be a great nation, and when it benefits the majority on all sides it will happen.

Yes of course. Anyone that says no on this trend should be ashamed to call yourselfs Irish. Bad enough we left our 6 counties behind and left all our fellow citizens under the rule of britian and now some of you wouldnt want the country to be united. Shame on you. Disgracefull. I hope for a United Ireland everyday. I love my country and i can never accept only 26 as part of Ireland.

Well said rebeltrev.I alluded to a pattern earlier in the thread about the opinions being expressed and while in no way is it conclusive,it does seem that folks from Leinster area are generally more apathetic about the matter and people from Connaught and Munster are more in favour.Munster also seems to be the last bastion of republicanism in the republic! It goes without saying that there are people for and against that do not lend themselves to this pattern.

Seanie_boy,

There is relatively strong support for unification in the border areas as well as Munster. I suppose we in the border region feel slightly alienated by the Dublin government because we're so close to the north. You only have to look at the levels of infrastructure we put up with for years, compared to the counties further south.

Scruff I consider the border areas to be more in line with the rest of the north,thats why I didn't comment specifically on them,its a given that most people there are in favour of a united Ireland.I know people from a unionist background in the border areas who are in favour of a united Ireland now.

A Yes to it but wouldn't agree that it's going to happen any time soon. Further away from it now than at any time.
