Anyone expect Paul Galvin to be on the Irish team in the IR?

I'd have him kerrykerry - we need as many hallions as we can get on the pitch ;-).

Although I joke I'm actually serious that we need players out there who not only can take the dirt the Aussies always dish out but also give it right back when the chips are down.

Whats wrong with me saying Quinn is the most talented minor I've seen. Have you seen him play? He's a footballer I used to look forward to seeing above all the others. A joy to watch. Have you seen him play? I've seen a gud few minor county games . perhaps not as many as you??

736946 Jamir O'Reilly was recently promoted to Richmond Tigers' senior roster. He was one of bthe fastest & most skillfull forwards in Down last season, he certainly didnt rely on brute strength.

I also read that Conor Meredeth waws doing ok.

A lot of lads have had a go & returned, Tohill, Clarke, Shields, Begley, Aisake, Donnelly, Coney. Any others

Colm McMenamin of Mayo was out there. Niall Quinn had a trial before he signed for Arsenal. There have been plenty of guys who went out for trials David Moran and Aidan O Shea are the two more recent, high profile ones I can think of. There was also a lad from last years Kildare minor team that went out there, can't think of his name. AFAIK there has never been a Tipp player to go out there although Darragh Egan and Shane O Brien (who switched alliegences to Clare) both played International Rules at U-17 level.

Derry could do with chrissy mckaigue coming home asap, but looks like the lad is settling in well, only hope he comes home in a few years a better player from his experience
