Mickey Harte for sure, the mans a Genius..they would have won 3 AIs without him...Sean Boylan 2nd and Heffo 3rd..then Micko and Cody..i dont rate these as high as they have and had some of the greatest ever players at there disposal

It's hard to Argue against Micko and Cody but each winning manager has to overcome a set of problems to win the all ireland. Micko won with Kerry but didn't manage to win an all Ireland with any other county, was he a poor manager after he left kerry? It could be argued that his achievements with Laois and Kildare are superior than what he achieved with Kerry because of where the counties were. So if it's who won the most all Irelands then there is little argument but who were the greatest deserves debate. The roscommon manager this year winning a Connaught with a team that was relegated from D3 could have a case. I would be ahrd pressed to argue against Cody amd Micko but Harte, Heffo and JBM all have claims based in their particular circumstances.

No Jack has not won minor, u21 and senior. But he has won a Hogan Cup (What many would think to be the second biggest prize in football), 3 All ireland Vocational Schools, U21, 3 Senior and 3 league titles. In fact he managed an All ireland Senior, League and Hogan Cup winning team in the same year. Has been to 2 all ireland finals in the same year on 2 seperate years with 2 different teams. He has been manager at an all-ireland final in 9 of his 14 years as manager of club, school and county winning 8 All Ireland titles from 10 appearances.

Now I'm not saying he is better than anyone else. I'm just answering your question and letting you know what he did win because judging from your question above you are obviously unsure.

What I can say for certain is that noone in football can come close to Micko, even Jack O'C with his record, and the nearest would probably have to be Kevin Heffernan, followed closely by Boylan, Harte and O'Connor among others.

As for Hurling, well, Cody will have to go down as the greatest ever.

727935 Sorry, Eamonn O'Sullivan. Got him mixed up with the chap the stadium is called after.

Indeed, the great Dr. Eamonn O'Sullivan brought Kerry to 9 All-Ireland finals, winning 8 of them, in various stints at the job between the 1920s and the 1960s. Micko, I believe is the only other manager to have won 8 senior All-Irelands in football.

O'Sullivan was supposed to have been far ahead of his time in terms of team preparation and got into the science and psychology of team preparation when such things would have been laughed at, and even wrote a book entitled "The Art and Science of Gaelic Football". He also spearheaded the development of Fitzgerald Stadium. That might be where your confusion arose from.

Weeshie Fogarty, the esteemed Radio Kerry sports presenter recently wrote a book about him entitled "Dr Eamonn O'Sullivan: A Man Before His Time". I haven't read it myself, so I can't say if it's any good or not.
