Interesting slayer I too posted a topic with a bit of gentle ribbing of waterford for the build up to the game, also had reference to the deluded views of thurlesblue in it but that too didn't get through.

wait "deluded view" and thurles blue" rhymns coincidence or what??

Tipp will hammer waterford. waterford are rubbish. That will be a cricket score. At least 10 points.

Waterford are rubbish?

Cork must be worse than we thought..........

You deal in ifs a lot.... if tipp had met kilkenny after 2001 in a few all-irelands how do you think they would have faired.... you just using the lack of times tipp and kilkenny have met recently in all-ireland to try and cement your view.... simple fact is kilkenny have been making it to all-ireland finals tipperary havn't been good enough to reach finals.... I feel they have the potential to change this now and hopefully they can live up to it....

The tipp team that won in 2001 in my view were one of the poorest tipp teams to win an all-ireland I'd even rank the tipp team of the mid 90's and also the current team better teams.

Cork team named:
1. Donal Og Cusack
2. Shane O'Neill
3. Eoin Cadogan
4. Brian Murphy
5. John Gardiner
6. Ronan Curran
7. Seán Óg Ó hAilpín
8. Tom Kenny
9. Cathal Naughton
10. Michael Cussen
11. Kieran Murphy
12. Niall McCarthy
13. Pat Horgan
14. Aisake Ó hAilpín
15. Ben O'Connor

Happy with that team. Jerry O'Connor on the bench. Can be no complaints about lads missing. the forward line-up looks better balanced than previous games. No fear for Kilkenny in the forward line.

Hard to see where the scores will come from on the cork team..... Niall McCarthy was been good this year and been consistant as well... But cutting down the space will limit him he needs space to score. Cork need goals to win so they'll aiske will have to preform and the cork backs will have to keep the kilkenny scoring low. I can see cork staying with kilkenny for a good deal of the game but kilkenny to stretch it out in the end.

Saying that cork will love being such massive underdogs and will love to prove people wrong.... but i still can see em doing it O'conor is a massive loss for them might be named on the bench but i would think he's no where near fit but they might get 20 mins out of him if it close comming into the end of game.

looks like Brian Hogan is now out with a broken finger according to rumours. Thats both our number6's out. Maybe Jackie Tyrell in there as he plays for his club there or else chance Paddy Hogan. I'd go with Jackie.

Slayer did you not see the records posted up in front of your nose on the tv screen proving the stats before the final it read 8 tipp KK 2 Now its 8 3 Wwel sort that to 9 to 3 on September 5 happy days kid!! ha.

I think we actually have a better head to head record V Kilkenny in finals too. Does that mean we're better? Not on your nelly.

Face facts man, Kilkenny are the benchmark. I was at the All-Ireland Intermediate hurling final in 1998 (Limerick 4-16 Kilkenny 2-17) on the day a legend of Limerick hurling passed away (Tommy Quaid RIP) and I saw a great player make a statement about the future. On that day Henry Shefflin was outstanding, yet ended on the losing side.

They're the best hurling county out there & I ain't brown nosing them, I'd love Limerick to be on a par with their physicality & control, they're something to aspire to not something to make fun of, like only you can do thurlesblues :-)
