Hurling semi-finals

I've never seen cork written off for a game like this one. We always raise our game for the cats. If the forwards get into gear at all then we have a chance. We need to score at least 3 goals though and I just don't know where they'll come from. Paudie o'sullivan is well worth a start and maybe one of the big lads could get some change out of noel hickey but i won't hold my breath.

Be surprised if Cork win, but don't think Kilkenny are the force they were 2 years ago. Just two games to win the championship though, I'd put money on them.

Really think it could be a Cork V Waterford final lads.

Either way we should be in for a great final no matter who gets there, a Kilkenny 5-in-a-row quest, The Rebels showing Limerick that strikes do work, the Deise finally doing it, or thurlesblues choking after accidentally swallowing his tin foil when Eoin Kelly scores the winning point!

There's no stopping Kilkenny, like the football, a shake-up would be good for the game. A Waterford - Galway final would've been the biggest breath of fresh air hurling could've gotten.

legendzxix in what century do you expect to see a Galway Waterford hurling final all hurling finals since 1999 have been won by Cork Tipp and Kilkenny.

Slayer we bring tin foil cos it costs us a fortune with all the games we have to go to and by the way strikes dont work Wwaterford proved that to Cork in the Munster final.

Did Limerick not win 3 Under 21 titles? Did Clare not win one last year? Galway's minors?

It's not all about senior surely?

so do you actually live in Thurles? You seem very connected with Tipp hurling. Do you follow yer footballers?

I think you might be the Redser in disguise ........

I wouldn't think much of the food in Croker, when you land in Dublin, there's a good place called O'Shea's to go for breakfast.
On Waterford and Galway, can't see that final at all really but it'd be great for the game to have new teams winning.

This is my 3rd year in a row that i backed Kilkenny before a hurl was swung and i'm very confident i will collect again in September. This is the greatest team of all time and they will dismantle Cork. And another point, Sean Og, Donal Og and Gardiner are great players but to say the crave media attention would be an understatement. That is the reason a lot of people don't like them.

It is all about senior really. Minor and U21 success is good and reflects well on a county but it is all about getting a team for the senior grade to win the All-Ireland.

I'm looking forward to 2 games that I imagine will be hugely competitive. I've never been a massive Cork fan (why would I be) but I would always be weary that they can produce a massive game way beyond what many believe capable. I wouldn't be one like Thurlesblues who thinks that history plays a big part in games. I'd not go further back than the league game this year where they were the better team and beat us by 2. It will have stung us to be beaten at any stage by Cork, still the arch enemy as Tipp haven't had the team to challenge year in, year out in the last 10 years.

In the Waterford vs. Tipperary game it's a toss of a coin, Tipp who would have fancied their chances of beating Kilkenny, were poor in the Cork game have picked it up since then but really struggled to put Galway away. They were the better team and almost tried to hard to get scores in the final 20 mins shooting some poor wides. Waterford will be another tough game for them but I think they might just have too much for Waterford in the last 20 minutes where there fitness and younger legs might just carry them over the line. That said it wouldn't shock me if Waterford did just get there. It's head vs. heart.

Overall Kilkenny by 6
Tipperary by a 2… if so we could be setup for revenge vs. confirmation of the best hurling team ever

Maybe more accurate to say since 1999 all AI's have been won by Cork and Kk with a blip in 2001? ;)

Cork will beat the pussy cats. By about 5 points. Sean og with a monster point early in the 2nd half. Kilkenny will be lucky to finish with 10 men with their playing over the edge.

Tipp will hammer waterford. waterford are rubbish. That will be a cricket score. At least 10 points.

And Cork will do a repeat on Tipp in the final.
