Higgins was a genius but like many geniuses he also had his flaws , He also had an ugly side to him mostly due to drink i.e Threatening Dennis Taylor with a Paramilitary punishment , still that said R.I.P. Alex

Greatest break I've ever seen, a fitting way to remember the man - he was snooker for so many people, and while his life was complicated and difficult outside of it, he was an amazing showman, and an amazing player.

Only bought his book 2 weeks ago, one of the best/funiest reads ever, he was a genius and will be sadly missed, snooker has never been without the Hurricane.

An absolute one off, incredible snooker player. He was the main reason for the games meteoric rise in popularity and was certainly the reason I became a fan. I know a lot of stuff he did in his private life cannot be condoned but on the snooker table he was a real star. Must say I loved the guy, still remember him sitting in his chair in an empty stadium after his last World Championship with the lights dimmed. Must say it feels a bit like that now.
