I find it interesting how everyone slates Tyrones style of football. We all know that their players are so interchangeable, backs can score heavy and forwards spend a lot of time defending. If a back goes forward then someone else will cover for him, everyone can play anywhere. benjyyy (Donegal) - Posts: 1429 - 21/07/2010 16:52:24 718158 Link 0 |

Booboo. It's meant to be a comparison with the Dutch Soccer team in the 70s. Interesting topic. It doesn't mean that Tyrone are better than the legendary Kerry team of the O'Dwyer era. MichaelO (Tyrone) - Posts: 820 - 21/07/2010 18:21:33 718388 Link 0 |

booboo What age are you? If you can find it on YouTube or somewhere go and watch some of the Kerry handpassing moves that were so fantastic when football was great! sam2008 (Tyrone) - Posts: 799 - 21/07/2010 19:10:18 718448 Link 0 |
Thrown are stereo-typed as handpassing all the time..i dont know if you watch any of there games but they are the best foot passers in the country by a mile...all teams, not just Thrown, handpass more now because of the way the opposing team is set up with an extra man in defence proevo (Meath) - Posts: 296 - 21/07/2010 19:17:42 718453 Link 0 |

BooBoo: the Kerry style in the 70s was to handpass the ball up the field, and then invariably walk it into the net at the end. Yes, they were a great team but get real when comparing their "style" with modern football. Why was it deemed necessary at the end of the 70s/early 80s to stop the handpassed goal?? football first (None) - Posts: 1259 - 21/07/2010 19:34:10 718483 Link 0 |
