Not a measure of success in my view but a measure of under achievement.... galway should be contesting and winning as many all-irelands and kilkenny in this decade.

I think you'd have to give credit to Waterford's trainers over the years. This year they didn't use any of the older players in the league, which not only gave them a rest but allowed the young lads to gain some experience. Tony Browne hasn't played much league hurling in the last few years, and only comes back around April.

You only have to look at Cork and you see at least three players all with hamstring injuries at the same time. Something isn't quite right there.

Agree 100%. Our record in underage and club level is probably unsurpassed in the last 20 years, but we just can't translate it. Very very frustrating! I'd give anything for one senior hurling!

Tony Browne will be taken fora tour of Croke Park by the Tipp half forward and put any aspirations he has of an all star award out of his head for all time!!

Slayer Dan Shanahan John Mullane and Tony Browne will all retire after the beating Tipp will give Waterford in the semi final a bit like Ollie Canning the last day and the whole Limerick team after the humiliation of last year

2001 Slayer that was the last handy one when was Limericks 1973 that was 37 years ago and it will be another 37 by the looks of things. In between wev won 2 minors in a row and 2 senior Munster championships and an u21 will be won this year!! With the senior.

I made no reference to Limerick thurlesblues - I asked when was your last handy All-Ireland.

You said 2001

that year it finished Tipp 2-18 Galway 2-15. Now if any side who wins by 3 points or more wins a handy All-Ireland, I reckon I'm going to see a few more handy ones won by lots of teams for the remainder of my life.

As I said Slayer 2001 was a handy All Ireland for Tipp it may have been only 3 points in the finish but we were never in any danger throughout the game. It was a bit like Kilkenny and Galway the last day KK won by 7 points but their dominance was a lot more than that so as I said it was a handy one for Tipp!

Be great to see Waterford, as Munster Champions and all, kick on now and win the all-ireland.
Tipp have been given an advantage of a game in Croke Park already. Is that fair? Should more games before we get to the semi's in Croker be staged in Provincial grounds?

In what century and in what sport do you expect Waterford to win an All Ireland ?Id say Tipp will win a football one before they do!

If Waterford did beat Tipp you may as well just give the cup to Kilkenny cos it would be another 2008 even worse Id say! So theres no point thinking Waterford can win an All Ireland just leave it to the premier we are well used to winning them and also well used to winning them against the cats save for the odd blip!

Yeah, definitely. We lost to Cork & Offaly in the 2010 championship. You know one of those counties anyway, as you say you have great respect for Cork. I've great respect for both, especially Offaly as they had no huge hurling pedigree prior to 1990 & now have 4 All-Ireland's. But you don't count anything below 25 do you? :-)

You should also know we play given that you put 6-19 past us last year. I know lads like you would advocate hammering a side like us, but the difference between you & lowerormond, wildpundit & HAG_AND_CHEESE is those lads would probably have preferred if ye kept back 2 of the goals ye put past us and kept them for the cats!!!!!

ah you really brigthen up my day ................

Haha!!!! When have you ever seen TB being destroyed by Tipp? He'll be put to the test on the 15th (dont get me wrong Tipp have quality forwrds) but what you are saying is madness. And saying you have a handy All Ireland is crazy! Face facts, its Kilkennys again.
