What can be said about this man that hasn't been said already. The block he made at the end on Saturday was something else.

Absolutely superb.

The bloke is 37 and he's playing if anything, better than he played in 1998. An absolute legend.

He has proved that class, desire and will to win is what it is all about. It would make you sick when you hear about players being rested and some of them could be 10 years younger than Browne. He played 70 minutes last week and 90 minutes on Saturday and was clearing balls in the dying minutes as if his life depended on it. He is probably the greatest Waterford player of all time.

Lar Corbett will put all star awards out of Tonys head in the semi final. As I said Lohansredhemet Tipp are a 26 point better team than Dublin and look what they did to ye and God hepl yer u21s in Semple on Wednesday Night it could be worse than the beating we gave yer seniors in 93!

Brian O'Halloran came on as a sub for Waterford last Saturday night. When Tony Browne made his debut for Waterford in 1991,Brian was not even born!!
An exceptional player, and I hope that he gets an All-Star as he richly deserves it.

Trenchman you dont get an all star on 2 games performance some of the young Tipp forwards would run Tony around and take him for a tour of croke park !

An absolute legend. Some man to be still going. I would have him on my all star team as things stand. I'd love to see him finally get his celtic cross.

I beg to differ, in 2002 DJ Carey came out of retirement into an all ireland semi final against Tipp, played a stomer won the all ireland and got an all star. Noel Hickey also from Kilkenny came back from injury for the semi final and got an all star too. And I think you'll find that if you didn't get an all star after 2 games then Brendan Cummins wouldn't have any. For such an arrogant team ye sure love using the back door, and before you say all irelands are won in September not May, real champions like Kilkenny are not beaten in any month and beating us by 6 points is hardly something to brag about. Tipp won't make it to the final this year and even if they do they'll be murdered by the cats. You go on about facts all the time, who cares about the past Tipp won most of their all irelands before 1970, i think you'll find that Tipp have only won 4 since then meaning that going by your logic Tipp are no better then anyone else. Kilkenny = 4 all irelands in 4 years, Tipp = 4 all irelands in 40 years. And you are arrogant why?

I meant getting an All-Star in a 'Ryan Giggs services to football rendered' kind of way!

And I checked the fixture for August 15th in Croker and there's no mention of Tipperary on the bill at all.

My God but this guy is like a virus. Hardly here a week and already nearly up to 500 posts. Surely the most active WUM Hoganstand has ever seen.

On Tony Browne. An absolute legend. He was huge for Waterford in the second half of ET. To be still playing inter-county hurling at 37 is a huge achievement, to be playing as well as he is, is incredible. If Tipp don't win the All Ireland this year, I'd love to see Waterford do it.
