Ive a sneaking suspicion we will see a Tipp v Cork All Ireland this year. I think Tipp will beat Kilkenny in Semi and Cork will get through in other semi, what a game that would be!

Legs don't matter for the keeper. Brian Murphy, Eoin Cadigan, Shane O'Neill which of them would you consider "old". Half back line just maybe Sean Og but both Gardiner and Curran have years of hurling in them. Mid-field Kenny and Naughton legs no problem here pal. Half forwards The O'Connor twins may be 31 but whatever fails them it won't be their legs nor will Niall McCarthy run out of steam. Leads us to our full forward line Fraggie Murphy, Aisake and Pat Horgan, I repeat the question I asked about our full back line which of them would you consider "old". I'm off to Thurles in a half hour or so to watch our "old" team totter out against Waterford. I'll report back on their health this evening.

Ben O Connor got a point from a wide in the first half and Osaki took nearly a dozen steps for his goal - Given the train of thought on other threads this evening maybe the CCCC should give Waterford the match.

I don't understand how a football result yesterday evening impacts on my ability to interpret a hurling match.
Anyway given that you are a member of the hurling master race and the only person qualified to offer an opinion-
In your expert opinion are you of the view that the goal scored by the Cork no.14 was within the rules.
Likewise was the free taken by the Cork No. 10 in the first half from the right hand side that missed the right hand upright by 10 yards a valid score.

YES or NO will suffice as clearly I am not qualified to understand any technical type response that you may conjure up.
Also small case will do I have the volume adjusted accordingly.

omar my dear man yes 31 ai does make us more superior and the fact that you failed to mention the non free w ford were given at the end in your post suggests to me its your glasses u need to adjust not your volume

As stated I can decipher the complexity of your superior knowledge
I humbly ask for a YES or NO answer
Was the goal within the rules YES or NO

I will concede that the term a "dozen steps" did involve an element of exaggaration
He took eight steps released the ball in mid stride and completed his ninth step as the ball was in the air.
Now the finer points of the game are clearly beyond me
However you have been lucky enough to have been born in a hospital located in a county that won a lot of all Irelands before you were born and so clearly your wisdom on such matters is unparallled even if you are amongst the 450,000 Cork people that were not in Thurles today

so in the interests of educating the hurling unwashed was the goal legal ?

You are from Cork and know everything
Im from a weaker county and know nothing

Lets agree on that if it helps us get to the point

Now to the issue

Was the goal within the rules
How many steps did he take
How many is he allowed to take ?

Declan, Waterford has been hit very badly during this recession we are a manufacturing city and lots of them jobs are gone thats why there wasnt as big a crowd as normal
