How many people here play Gaelic Games?

Played hurling to senior level, and represented county. Played football for the club up to under 16. I appear to have 5 county under age medals and can't recollect a single one but I am down in the club records as winning them. Only memory of football is under 12, ball bounced in front of me and bounced way over my head. Next ball came in I said, I'll beat this bounce so ran out and iI beat the bounce. Unfortunately the bounce beat me also. Bounced hit me in the chest and winded me. I don't think I ever played after that.

Have long since hung up my hurl as I am ancient.

I wonder would it be an idea to organise a hoganstand.com match/blitz for charity? All 4 provinces play off to find a champion? Each person would have to prove they are the person they say they are, by logging into the site on a laptop. HAG_AND_CHEESE would not be allowed to bring his bag o'sandwiches ....

We could have each player wear a jersey with his/her username taped on the front of the jersey and each person wear their county socks, like the Barbarains do in Rugby.

It would probably have to be a Gaelic Football game as the hurling might prove to be a bit more dangerous, especially if many people have never played it!

Just a thought :-)
