How many people here play Gaelic Games?

I played football from U8 to 18 y/o in NYC. After that there was no team, because most of the guys moved away to attend university around the US.
I play an occassional game with the guys from our team from years ago. It's nothing serious. Mainly just to kick the ball around and not get hurt. ;-)

Play intermediate football in London, played senior football in Tyrone and Antrim in the past. Played a hurling game once for the club I was with in Antrim, never, ever, ever again. I was running away from the sliothar and not ashamed to admit it.

No, have never played. Not much GAA action down here in deepest, darkest Southampton!

Started when I was 7 or 8 I think...

I was fairly committed up until my mid twenties... other factors took over

Played football and hurling since I was about 8. Gave up the football about two years ago and now jus concentrate on the hurling. Playing senior hurling at the moment.

Played hurling and football from U8 right up to senior club level. Quit both in 2000 after moving due to work commitments but picked up the football again three years ago, not as easy as it used to be.

Junior Football, although injuries and kids are threatening retirement. I still love the training and replay every touch of the ball I get in a game when trying to sleep that night, just like a little kid.

Have played Senior club football, started at u10 and currently playing inter club...

Played national school hurling, bits of underage and up until last year never took it too seriously...giving it a good go now though and am enjoying it!

Anyone find it problematic having to commute down for games/training when living away from home? It's a big commitment to give, I could transfer to club up in Dub but I just wouldn't be able to!
