Kevin Nugent assaulted during club game in Armagh

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I was in the local pubs at the weekendin south monaghan for the saturday game and kevin was the talk of the pub ,the name of the striker is well known as numerous different people said it to me . Why if it is well known who did it is it not being dealt wit .

The reason is who the family are , people reckon it will go away if left alone . The club hasn't even suspended the player yet . Cullovile should ban him for life .

679959 I dont think anyone is in a position to comment unless you were at the match and saw what happened for yourselves.
This could have been one single punch for all we know and unfortunately it has done a tremendous amount damage or it could have been a succession of punches and kicks, certainly not many on here would know the full facts, if any at all.
So to condemn someone without knowing the facts is frankly wrong.
I dont know either party involved in this, i dont know what happened therefore i cant comment.
I will say i wish Kevin Nugent a speedy recovery and hope not to hear about any person sustaining injuries like this in any GAA match ever again.

Absolute nonsense. Doens't matter if it was one punch only. One punch is too much. The player should be banned for life. And if teh club were anyway decent they should ban him even if HQ are not prepared to. The level of violence in gaelic football seems to be a lot more than in hurling. Is it to do with no one knowing what a tackle really is and so you can beat the living daylights out of someone and claim that it is a "tackle".

Once again Pudders can't resist the dig at Gaelic football. As a Hurling fan he should be more concerned about other things. How many were at the Cork - Limerick game? Such a paltry attendance for a supposed big game between two supposedly big teams. The Hurling bubble has well and truly burst, the fans are turning away in their droves. The inevitable end of this second rate sport is close, time is ticking. Tick tock, tick tock
