Its far too prevalent in games these days, you see people getting sway with striking time and time again and nothing done about it, if it happened on the street their would be more justice. Best of luck in recovery. Atticalllegends (Down) - Posts: 96 - 16/06/2010 12:05:54 678911 Link 0 |
Jaysus that's bad. All the best to the young fella in his recovery and I hope whoever did this gets what is coming to them. Rio Bingo (Tyrone) - Posts: 788 - 16/06/2010 12:07:31 678915 Link 0 |
This is unbelievable, the poor lad must have been subject to an absolutely savage attack. I hope he makes a full & speedy recovery and is back on the pitch very soon. maor_uisce (Tyrone) - Posts: 167 - 16/06/2010 12:13:26 678932 Link 0 |
I was totally shocked to hear this. It's a disgrace. A lad as young as that and such a promising talent. He would be well entitled to turn his back on the gaa and Armagh if this matter isnt dealt with quickly and efficiently. This doesnt belong on a football pitch no matter what county you are from and the attacker doesnt belong on a pitch either. exiledinkildare (Mayo) - Posts: 47 - 16/06/2010 12:42:31 678984 Link 0 |
I hope something happens to the person who done this but i'd reckon there is a good chance his club will deny everything or claim they didn't see anything, there is to much of this type of loyalty which is protecting thugs on the pitch and the same is happeing on the national stage as the moment. I have been saying this for years bans are not big enough with serious incidents , hope he gets better soon. Dellboypolecat (Tyrone) - Posts: 15069 - 16/06/2010 13:12:18 679029 Link 0 |
Sounds to me that its the Police not the GAA who should be investigating this one.Best wishes to Kyle for his recovery. Barnowl94 (Galway) - Posts: 3150 - 16/06/2010 13:17:57 679034 Link 0 |
Shows why the cccc must hit to on indiscipline at county level. This type of thuggery has to be eradicated. Sympathies to the young man. mod (Mayo) - Posts: 859 - 16/06/2010 13:18:17 679035 Link 0 |
Jesus that really sounds like a savage attack. Never mind the life ban whoever did this should be locked up. End of. ConnollyDub (Dublin) - Posts: 2007 - 16/06/2010 13:30:46 679055 Link 0 |

absoloute disgrace, judging by the paul galvin thread alot of people will feel that because the ref didnt deal with it on the day its should be let go! who ever done it deserves to go to court speedy12 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 592 - 16/06/2010 14:03:10 679107 Link 0 |
What happens on the pitch should stay on the pitch. It's a tough sport and injuries are part and parcel of the game. Whoever is responsible of course deserves to be hit with a 1 - 3 month ban but talk about the Police getting involved is way over the top pplocal (Tyrone) - Posts: 5878 - 16/06/2010 14:05:03 679114 Link 0 |

An awful incident. Pomeroy are you for real ? 1-3 motnh ban for leaving a young fella not able to eat solids for 4 months. So if someone did this to you ,or yours a month ban would be fair enough, with a fella maybe just missing one or two games ? They should never set foot inside a GAA ground again. This is a serious assault and should not be left to the G.A.A. to deal with !! Police action needed !! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 16/06/2010 14:21:56 679136 Link 0 |
