Come on Wexford! Very good full forward line indeed. Here's hoping.

Has there been a better player in the last 25-30 years who has not won a provincial title or A-I than Mattie Forde? A class act and he will cause Dublin some problems. Saw him in Croker a couple of years ago when Wexford beat Armagh. He was supposed to be injured, but still scored 1-5. Quality. Dublin will probably have too much all round, but Forde will be a thorn in their side.

Yeah Matty Forde some player but Wexford are a poor enough team if we are to be honest about it. Dublin by 4/5 points.

I think Dublin could be vulnerable on Sunday. Mayo showed last week that giving 5 debuts against a side capable of playing good football can very easily backfire. Forde, Lyng and Banville is a serious full forward line and if Dublin do set up defensively and drop their wing forwards Wexford have good attacking wing backs that will run at them.

i think both full forward lines will have the ability to score heavily come sunday...all will depend on the amount and quality of ball coming in.im sure dublin will be concentrating on this aspect of the game in training...i have to admit as a dublin supporter its exciting heading into the championship as an unknown, untested quantity. this is a new team, new approach, and hopefully with a new mentality. even though ive no idea what to expect come sunday here's to a positive start..up the dubs.

Cavan Slasher youre lookin at about 25/1 for the double. Tis a bit unlikely (the last time a double like it happened i reckon was when ourselves and fermanagh toppled armagh and tyrone in '04) but great value in particular with Wexford as theyve nothin to lose and have a potent full forward line, and its an experimental dublin line up.

Well lads if you look at the Laois team there are many big names in the subs so they must have some team and that Wexford forward line will do some damage to a new Dublin fullback line imo. 25/1 for a score gets you 500 profit so worth a wee wager !!

I think it will difficult for Matty to come back and star in his first big game however it will take some of the attention off the other forwards which can't be a bad thing.
Saying that if Wexford cannot get ball into the full forward line obviously it doesn't matter who you have in there.
Think the game will be won in mid-field and is also dependent on whose wing backs are the best going forward. Dublin generally are strong going forward from the wing back line.
Dublin need to be weary though. The previous All-Ireland semi placing was no flute, and after a terrible year last year we have gained some confidence again in the league and Sligo and Louth have proved that Division 3 was no walkover this year. Wexford have a lot to prove after last year and will be up for this game.

Its 25/1 for a reason, put your 20 quid back in your pocket! Meath will beat Laois, Louth proved the advantage of having a match under your belt..I'll be taking Meath -3 at 11/10, might double up with Cavan to win which would give roughly 9/4

Yeah he's a class act alright and would rather have met him in the stand at the game. This is just what this young Dublin back line needs though. If you want to beat the best then you have to play against them. Looking forward to seeing how young Rory plays. He has the potential to be another Paddy Christie and days like Sunday will make or break him.

Jason Ryan made the wrong decision in my opinion 2 start two big men in midfield against fennell and mcconnell

The simple fact is that Matty Forde is a wonderful footballer... at a time when we have more Athletes playing football than actual Footballers... news that one of the best will be available to play on the biggest stage is fantastic news... simple as that.

I really hope Wexford gives us one hell of a rattle. If Wexford go on to win then all the very best to them.

The worst thing that could happen to this Dublin team would be to stroll to victory.... Wexford have a great chance against this Dublin team selected, yes we've found some good new lads, and well done to Gilroy and Whelan for doing that but there are a lot of questions and doubt floating around this team.

I'd say the Meath lads would love to be playing Dublin on Sunday. :) They might get that long anticipated win.

I'll stand with pride and watch a new dawn for Dublin GAA and best of luck to Matty, he's had a tough time of late and great to see him back where true footballers belong.
