673864 Now what would I have cause to be bitter about 'Bren'???? After Cavan, Down have the best Championship record in Ulster and like Cavan, 5 All Irelands as champions, not through the backdooher like Tyrone but I was stating my opinion after listening to some of the drivel coming from your fellow countymen and in direct response to a comment made previously.

I don't have any particular axe to grind with regards to the team apart from 'Dooher' and 'Mr Harte. Its some of your cocky 'No-one is better than Tyrone' comrades that do get on my nipples and I'd rather have Tanya Tate get on them.

As for the original thread I have an inkling that Fermanagh might just sneak the game.

I bet you're probably one of the many Down fans who talk about the Down swagger in Croke park and spout the usual rubbish about the aristocrats of Ulster GAA.Down supporters are probably the most arrogant in the country,some would say with good reason,but compared to Cavan who have also won 5 Sams and over 3 times as many Ulsters as Down have,yet Cavan fans are a sound lot in general.Tyrone have plenty of mouthy fans,as do most counties but for a Down man to lecture us about arrogance is slightly contradictory.

I think you'll find that when Down befriended the RUC and voted to get rid of rule 21 a few years later there was good few counties who took a dis-liking to Down

Micheal Lyng and Ray Cullivan left the panel. 6 or 7 off he u21 team that were in ulster final went to the US. Time for Carr to go, should of got rid of him last year when we had the chance..By looking at the players it looks as if they dont even pull well together
