Pom - Certainly 2 counties going through difficult times but Cavan have a record in Ulster that is unlikely to ever be surpassed even by the Mighty Tyrone and Fermanagh just dont have the numbers that other counties have to choose from but it wasn't too long ago that they where at Croker contesting the latter stages of the AI series.

Sure your own county went through hard unsuccessful times as most counties including these 2 and my own have been experiencing but alike what Arnie says "We'll be back"

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on a certain poster or a county but to refer to yourself as a county or claiming to represent a county is foolish and petty. Most of this is stimulated by envy I'm sad to say. I remember harbouring a terrible envy against my oak leaf neighbours after they won their All-Ireland in '93.

I think cavan will win this game easy 7 to 8 points as fermanagh are not in a good place at the minute but good luck to both teams.

In fairness no team benefits as much as the team that has a hard fought one point win !! So i am hoping that Cavan prevail in a very tight game by one point !! It would strengthen them up for a big battle with Monaghan and maybe we could give them a good game even if i think Monaghan are far ahead of us !!

Now what would I have cause to be bitter about 'Bren'???? After Cavan, Down have the best Championship record in Ulster and like Cavan, 5 All Irelands as champions, not through the backdooher like Tyrone but I was stating my opinion after listening to some of the drivel coming from your fellow countymen and in direct response to a comment made previously.

I don't have any particular axe to grind with regards to the team apart from that miserable looking git 'Dooher' (was ever a man well named) and 'Mr Know it All' Harte. Its some of your cocky 'No-one is better than Tyrone' comrades that do get on my nipples and I'd rather have Tanya Tate get on them.

As for the original thread I have an inkling that Fermanagh might just sneak the game.
