Kerry still have much the classier footballers , but would be happy to see them into the second round qualifiers and maybe get some opposition for a wee change. Maybe Derry or Armagh / Monaghan away. Now that would be nice.

You have it in one Dellboypolecat. I think the same and this game may actually turn out to be a non-event with Cork winning in a canter. The match of the weekend will be Sligo V Mayo - that game will be really close and could go either way.

I remember in 1990 Cork hammered Kerry. That was the only time it ever happened in my lifetime. However, the other way around, well that is another painful story. Ultimately Sunday's game, to me, means absolutely nothing. A Munster championship victory for Cork is as insiginficant as the McGrath Cup. Only Sam will do. I believe that we have the potential to do it. Without being biased (which I am not) the biggest question mark is over the players mentality in Croke Park. In terms of footballing ability, we are, in my opinion as good as the rest. the best shadowboxer will lose on Sunday.

Jesus there are some wild predictions across the hs forum this week. I think Kerry will win this one, why people are constantly writing the best team of our generation off year after year has me baffled. On their day they are the best team in Ireland and they are the all Ireland champions people seem to forget that. It's like last year didn't happen. Donaghy to run riot i predict, don't think he is injured at all btw. Kerry by 6.

Can't see Kerry winning this one. Cork to win by 3. If it were in Croker and was an A-I semi or final, well that might be a different matter.

Well for a match no one seems to care who wins there seems to be a fair bit of interest in it all the same. I think this has the makings of as good a match as we'll see all summer and I think Kerry will just shade it. I would think Kerry will try and avoid the scenic route this year and reserve their energy as best they can. The penny will drop at some stage that maybe this Kerry team are not bad and eventually they will get due recognition. Just hope weather holds up and the ref lets the game flow.

Kerry by 2 Sunday and win Munster but Tyrone will win Sam, I have no doubt about that.

Kerry haven't a prayer with all the lads gone from last year. Cork for the double.

Cork beat Kerry by 8 points at the Munster semi-final replay last year; maybe we will get hammered this Sunday and even with the backdoor I wouldn't like it but still all would not be lost. As for excuses, if all injured were out (believe Kieran is fine, Paul too but may not start, Mike unsure-new achilles injury) combined with the lads that are gone from last year, sure, it would be difficult but that would be the reality of it. But is it an excuse, no, a team can only play whats in front of them. If Cork win on the day, they would be the better team and good luck to them. I am sick of hearing about teams using excuses for injuries etc as being there reason for not winning. All teams have such problems, Cork too have had injuries.

However, I think Bennybunny has got it right-for Cork especially, its Croke Park where they have to proved themselves. Last year, I seen loads of messages saying that Cork was the strongest, the best, the fastest, the tallest; Kerry are on the way out etc etc. Who won? On the laws of average, you would expect things to start going in Cork's favour but you know, somethings never change-GO ON KERRY CAN'T WAIT FOR SUNDAY

Mike McCarthy and Kieran is playing-Paul Galvin is on the subs. Galvin has not trained with the team for a few weeks. Kieran and Mike were both back training last night. Canty to start for Cork, Cadogen on the subs. Will have to see if a different team will start on Sunday.

Yeah and last All-Ireland final a lot of my fellow county men were moaning about this and that, the ref, tackles etc etc blah blah. KERRY WON BECAUSE KERRY WERE BETTER. THE END. More streetwise, tactically better, more winners in the team, more belief etc. You make your own luck.

For the first time in a few years, I look at this kerry sqaud as a whole and think, are we slipping back?

I think our bench is weak. I look at Corks panel at its young and thriving. Serious talent everywhere.

Galvin is the only guaranteed impact substitute. BJ Keane has yet to be proven. Maher and Moran have had little impact in midfield, which I think is our weakest area of the field.

I can't see sheehan repeating his scoring haul against tipp, I think a tight corner back will eat him up, I don't see him as natural corner foward.

I think we can go man for man ON the the day with cork but the impact of the bench could prove a severe difference. Expect Goold to sprung late on to run down our midfield.

Cant believe what i'm hearing from the sunday game pundits. Apparently that was a poor game. If that was a poor game then we're unlikely to get a good game in the whole championship. It had passion, intensity and some great scores taken under pressure. What more do they want?
