I have no affiliation to noko nor do i share his views. Are we not in agreement that the kerry/tyrone style of defend well when you dont have the ball and attack well as a team went you do have the ball??

My problem is when there is more emphasis put on defense than attack by certain teams. Am I wrong to feel that? Im sure someone who plays, coaches and refs wants to see the game played in the right manner. Do you not?

No matter if you put 13,14 behind a ball to defend then attack in numbers , there not breaking any rule and i feel it takes great fitness to do this and do not mind this game plan . Now sorry have to head as reffing underage semi- tonight , but this tactic is not a bad tactic tyrone played the other way for years and could not win anything so they mixed it under mickey harte and win things .

tyrone actually play reasonably good football...think of the dublin games in 2005 and 2008, and the all ireland finals against kerry...but teams like armagh, fermanagh, westmeath over the last couple of years, donegal, antrim and the likes have turned football into a sport less attractive to watch than soccer (which is saying something)

Google the 70s and 80s matches and you will find out for your self . now go away as there all there on you tube to see

STILL...no evidence to back up your point.

You harp on harp on here telling ppl to show links to match the evidence...but when it comes to you, you ingnore

I waiting for you to show me CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE. I can check up the 70 and 80s but all i see is pure football along with honest hard hits. You just made a pure irrational statement YET can't back it up.

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSE, don't make generalisations on Kerry because you have a pure hatred on Ireland's most successful football county.

AGAIN, I admire TRYONE, its people like you who have a rose tinted view that really annoy me.

any evidence......??????

seriously, the ulster championship is the most entertaining of all because theres a bit of surprise in it,theres two teams in connacht leinster and munster , as i said before some people talk some bull

farnabu85, saying there are only two teams in the other championships is rich. Tyrone and armagh are the only two teams who have won ulster in the last 11 years.

In that time there has been 4 different winners in connacht. 6 different winners in leinster if you count offaly in 97. Well the muster championship is the same as ulster, only two big teams.

I don't care for the strongest/most competitive province argument but it annoys me when people use stats and then ruin it by saying "if" as you have. Sure you can do that with Ulster too, "if" you count Cavan in 97 or "if" you go back a few more years you can add Down, Donegal and Derry to the list. Was five winners in Leinster not enough for you to make the point without blurring the lines and giving Leinster an extra year advantage? It makes no sense.

And I hate to go on about it, but you may not be anti-ulster but you certainly appear to have a pre-occupation with it as it seems to be all you are talking about!

I just started a thread on micko there actually. In case you haven't noticed half of the threads on this site seem to be about ulster, some fella even developed a thread about the rte into an ulster debate, so dont single me out for being preoccupied by ulster, nearly everyone is.

First of all why would i hate kerry when they could not beat us in the last decade in championship games ? Further more i would add you do not watch to much football if you think kerry do not put men behind the ball showing on the clip put up by the cavan poster . 14 men that is or your in denial there as well ?

Now am not going to keep responding to your posts as the facts where in that clip but your changing your comments.

Just a point of note. Since 2000 every one of Ulsters counties have contested the final, 9 teams. In Munster there has been 5 but that is due to the fact that every other year Cork are drawn against Kerry in the semi final. There have been 4 different finalists in Connacht, again mainly due to the fact that Mayo draw Galway in the semi. 7 out of Leinsters 12 have reached the final thus it would certainly suggest that Ulster is the most competitive

Dell if theres an anti ulser/tyrone debate....you always refer to kerry

I agree, there is no point in you responding anymore as you clearly can't prove you point on kerry playing negative football for decades. Have a lovely night delly.

omaghredhand: this doesn't really matter but just out of interest how many times in those nine years were armagh and tyrone of the same side of the draw?

one link to one game?....That does not suffice to reason an explanation for a number of decades of supposedly negative football by Kerry.

Thats mere cherry picking.

I could claim that Ireland has beautiful weather based on the lovely sunny day we had in Kerry yesterday....but we all know I would be cherry picking a day to back up my statement even though every one knows Ireland in recent years had bad weather.

actually I cant answer that but i know that donegal have beaten both teams in ulster a few times a bit just to get beat by the other in next round or final. also many years where down or monaghan also knocked one of the "big two"

Aye monaghan could have won the ulster final there a few years back. They have gone back since then if anything.
